We live on Roatan and had visitors that have been down to Roatan many times, so we wanted to do something different on their latest visit February 2025. We loved the sunset dinner cruise as it made a memorable experience that allowed us to mix the natural beauty of the ocean as well as excellent food.

We opted to get on the Boat at the Gibson Bight Marina in Sandy Bay. The crew greeted us a lovely drink of our choice as we set off headed to West Bay. There was quiet music and a very relaxing atmosphere as we settled into watching the lovely shoreline of Roatan. It was rather windy, but the boat was very stable, so it was very enjoyable.

We picked up a few more people in West Bay and headed out to snorkel or just hang out on the boat. The crew had all the equipment needed as well as some fun water games to play.

We had unlimited complimentary beverages, such as wine, beer, or soft drinks, and any type of mixed or blended drink you wanted. It was a rather elaborate dining experience, with an array of meats, vegetables and delightful cornbread. Tables were set up with just two people sharing the space and dinner was served. It was not a buffet like many boating companies set out, our dinner was served on a shichirin or small portable charcoal grill.

The highlight is, of course, the sunset itself—a breathtaking display of colors reflecting off the water, offering ample opportunities for photography and making memories. We finished off the cruise by making our own s’mores...

We can't say enough about the Mono Loco and her crew. Our group of 6 adults took the lunch cruise. The boat is absolutely perfect for the purpose that Erving built it for. Everything from the full bar, the non slip floors, music, games and food, I don't believe it could have been done any better. The crew were absolutely amazing, tending to every need. I extremely appreciate that at least 1 crew member was watching over us while we were snorkeling. George, the bartender, has his own drink recipes. Be sure to try a couple of them.

I don't think that I have ever had better food served on any excursion before. Erving has definitely brought his restaurant experience with him for this venture. I especially enjoyed his story about how the Mono Loco was conceived and built.

Great time!!! Very fun! We celebrated the night before our wedding with our 8-year-old son and 40+ friends and family on a perfect sunset cruise. Monoloco is a must-do for all ages in Roatán. Erwin and his team are amazing, going above and beyond to take care of everyone's needs. Highly recommend!
