Scam of a shop for foreigners. Beware if your taxi driver leads to this shop. Highly over priced products and the staff is very pushy to an extent of fighting with you if you dont buy from them. One of the staff started abusing in front of the tourists. Avoid it at all cost. There are better shops like cental cottage industries in Janpath selling similar goods and is run by Government. I visited the store on December 3rd and purchased a small rug. They were EXTREMELY PUSHY. Their “silk” rugs are machine made with silk fringe and edging sewn to it. Still pretty and you can get a decent deal but they do lie to you. The rugs are likely a wild silk/viscose blend that is glued. The fibers pull right out and are not actually knotted. Been brought to it by a taxi driver that caught me in front of a high end bespoke tailor at Khan market, just to bring me here where prices are the same, staff is very unfriendly and arrogant if you don’t want to make clothes with them instantly.
