I was able to call in the morning and have a private lesson that evening for dinner. I chose Menu option 1 and made chai, tamarind chutney, a starter, a rice dish, 2 main dishes, a desert, and naan. Everything was clean and all the food was made from scratch from fresh ingredients and spices, including the paneer! The hosts were so nice and we ate the food together after. I got a packet to take home to help me remember what we did. I can't wait to make not only the dishes at home, but also to incorporate some of the additional skills I was able to pick up, like how I can keep dried tamarinds for many months and make fresh chutney as I need it, rather than buying tamarind paste at the store that will go bad quickly. Overall, totally recommend the class and I would like to go back and try a different menu if I have time.

Update: I went back for a second class the morning before my train. They allowed me to start half an hour early and helped my catch an uber to my train. And packed up the leftover food for me to take on the train. I chose menu #4, but asked to replace the default dessert (gulab jamun) with halwa. They had never taught it before and it's not on any of their menus but they happily agreed to teach me. Also when we were making it, the recipe calls for ghee at the end but we opted to leave it out and I think the dish was so much better without it! They were so accomodating and I'm glad...

Not recommended and he cancelled class in last minute !!!

I initially booked the cooking class for my husband’s birthday on 10th aug a month in advance and the chef sent us email to request us to change to 11th aug - which was fine.

Yesterday morning at around 7am, 11 Aug, he sent another email requesting us to change to tomorrow instead because he said he had to go Delhi to send his son to the airport. First of all, We are not living in Jaipur and we are tourists, nor we are not walk-in customers that could change whatever his schedule allows, otherwise why I booked in advance with him??? I explained to him and then he tired to compromise by sticking to original plan. Then we carried on our site-visiting...

After 1 hour, I logged in my email account again, and received few emails from him by saying because we couldn’t confirm on time so he already off to Delhi, obviously he didnt care and cancelled the class by his own interest. My husband and I had no clue since we didn’t have internet as we have been travelling..its very rude regardless and he already made up his mind for not holding a class, obviously he doesn’t care at all!! It completely ruined my birthday plan to my husband!! Thank you Chef for giving us such bad...

We had a lovely afternoon with Chef Lokesh and his wife Geetika having a cooking class for four. Then menu included a range of dishes from snacks, mains and through to dessert.

We really enjoyed learning from Chef Lokesh who had a lot of knowledge and is really engaging. Chef Lokesh has so much experience cooking in different restaurants around the world including the Crown Prince of Dubai and the Bahraini Prime Minster … so you know you’ll be in good hands!

The kitchen and all utensils used were clean, all the vegetables are fresh as Chef Lokesh gets them from the market in the morning and bottled water was used in all the recipes.

You receive a pack with all the recipes and ingredients so you can recreate the recipes at home (which is readily available from shops in the U.K.).

During the class we had tastings throughout, at the end of making all the wonderful food, we sat down in their dining room to eat together which was a really nice touch. We even had loads of food to take away with us, so make sure you come hungry!

We loved this experience and would highly recommend if you are in Jaipur.

Had a great cooking experience here with Chef Lokesh and dinner with him and his wife Geetika. I called the number on their website and was promptly sent options for a cooking class for the current or following evening. I was greeted outside their home, led inside, explained Chef Lokesh’s experience and what we would be doing that evening along with prepared pamphlets and an apron. I had a great time learning to cook Rajhastani dishes, and Chef was quick to answer all my questions, and suggest ways to adapt the recipes for home. Once finished I had a lovely meal with Lokesh and Geetika, where they were open to discuss their family, and the cultural changes they’ve noticed throughout their time in India and abroad. I bought a cookbook and was sent home with the leftovers, there was so much to eat, I had enough for two additional meals, and I left completely stuffed. Verdict: Great experience, fantastic food and somehow even better company. Highly recommend.

I was only one person, so I was lucky to have the class all by myself. I chose a vegetarian option, and all the dishes I learned (palak paneer, vegetable korma, etc) were very tasty. I loved how Lokesh taught me how to make paneer from scratch. He also accommodated my request to learn one extra dish for a reasonable charge. After cooking, I had dinner with Lokesh and his wife, over some great conversation. They are a truly friendly and nice couple. I’ve taken other cooking classes in India, and this one was a bit more expensive than others, but it was totally worthwhile since it was very well organized and taught by a professional chef. And to top it off they packed me the leftovers so I was able to share them with a friend back at the hotel!
