Chanakya Restaurant — Restaurant in Jaipur Municipal Corporation

Celebrated my daughter's first birthday here with 130 people. I had a mixed experience.

Contract - We fixed 2 starters, 2 welcome drinks, 1 soup, 3 sabjis, dal, dahi bade, 2 salads, 2 rotis, naan, 2 sweets, 1 icecream, and coffee for 700₹ per plate. This included 4 waiters for serving tables along with a decent music system with mic.

Poor service - They had only 2 guys to serve starters initially. This was further reduced to 1 as dinner started. So starters weren't served to more than half of the guests. They also frequently ran out of sabjis and rice and guests were left waiting. It was a huge embarrassment for me.

Plate Theft - Just when the dinner was started, their staff on plates stole about 15 plates and kept it under the counter. One of our family members saw this, the theft was dealt then and there and we humiliated the manager in front of everyone.

Music - Their music system is bad and does not support real time tweaking. Do not rely on it.

Good part - They have a great venue for small parties that looked amazing after baloon decoration. Mostly, the staff was courteous and helpful in anticipation of tips. The food was delicious and I had no complaints about its quality...

I have attended a conference over here. The entry view is good and parking space is also good. I love the soothing fragrance of night blooming jessamine at entry of the restaurant. It has enough open space for a small party about 50-60 people in addition there is a banquet hall space for arround 100-150 people. The most admirable thing is the service of the restaurant. The waiter who is servicing starters is so good in his work, also have very good smile on his face. Food quality is also good and also the catering service is also very good. I really appreciate the management by the owner and the manager of Chanakya. However mostly i dont give 5 star rating to any restaurant but these people and their service...
