Bandra-Kurla Complex — Local services in Mumbai

Metro Line 3 is no small feat, even though you've to construct an underground metro, a project like this in densely populated city like Mumbai with crazy number of unauthorised constructions in every area is commendable!

BKC metro station iss built beautifully, with multiple connectivity options outside the metro station. I guess even BEST can take advantage of curating dedicated bus routes along the main stations of Line 3 and major stations of other metro lines.

Aqua Line will be transformational for BKC and the surrounding business hubs. Although delayed due to unnecessary politics, this project will be a game changer once the entire line is operational along with connectivity options for other Metro Lines (i.e. Line 6 and the airport line). Hope Mumbaikars take good care of this...

I had high hopes from Mumbai Metro 3 or Aqualine. But there are a few basic issues which the designers didn't consider.

All the stations are non standard. Which means they do not follow the same design, Architecture, ingress etc. For example, The elevator in one station would be at a different place within the station compared to some other station etc. This aspect has been taken care of by Yelllow and Red line very cleverly.

Too long a walk to come out of BKC station. Also the lift to go on outside is not there at both of the sides which is very weird.

Toilets are kept outside the area where you need tickets. This will lead to a lot of trespassing at the station to use rest rooms. And the travellers have to walk long distances at the station...
