City Park — Attraction in Mumbai

This is one of the better spots to go for a run in the Juhu area, near the airport. There is a dedicated ‘Joggers Park’, which is a little green oasis with dedicated paths, where one could put together about 1 km. It is less than 1 km from Juhu Beach and the JW Marriott Juhu and Novotel Mumbai Juhu Beach. There’s a fee of Rs.5. and it’s open 5am-10pm.

It is also possible to run along the beach (Juhu Chowpatty), although it can be a bit dirty and crowded. But it’s wide and the sand can be firm and flat. It’s about 3 miles one way along Versova and Juhu Beaches.

The advanced sports playground encompasses a full-size soccer pitch (FIFA approved turf), multiple cricket pitches, athletic tracks, professional stadium lights, facilities for changing, washing and storing and a specialised full pitch skeleton drain system for all weather play.

The All Stars Football Club led by Abhishek Bachchan, Ishaan Khattar, Dino Morea, Jim Sarbh, Shabir Ahluwalia, Sachin Joshi, and other celebrities played an exhibition match with the school football team to mark the opening of the playground. This is undoubtedly an exciting event bringing celebrities and sports enthusiasts together.

Amruta Fadnavis, Jaaved Jaffrey, Swaroop Rawal, Arhaan Khan, Harsha Hinduja, Schauna Chauhan also enjoyed watching the game that drew between The All Stars Football Club and students of Jamnabai Narsee School.

The All Stars Football Club is an initiative by GS Sports and Bunty Walia wherein a team of celebrities from all walks of life play football to generate money for noble causes while promoting the sport of the football.

Trustee Sujay Jairaj emphasizes that Sports has always been an integral part of Education at their schools and adds, “This full FIFA size football pitch along with a professional running track and stadium lights with multi-sport capabilities will be a boon for sports development. We will have sporting academies which will help the students to perform better at national and international levels.”

Sporting activities are an integral part of the education offered at Jamnabai Narsee School and no stone is left unturned in providing the infrastructure and opportunity. This playground will not only benefit the school population but also the community at large, bringing people together with a common goal towards fitness and well being.

Jogger’s Park is located near JNS school in juhu. The entry fee is Rs 10 /- which is used towards the maintenance of the park. The park is mostly circular shaped & is maintained very well. The crowd is decent & this park is perfect for elders / senior citizens to walk / sit with their family & friends . The waking area is decent but the inner circle where your allowed to jog is quite small & the play area for kids is over there along with a small area for people to stretch , do some exercises before their walk / jog. This park is mainly for walking & jogging so if that’s what you want this is perfect otherwise head over to other parks if you plan to run . The kid’s play area consists of a couple of swings & slide . No food is served inside but they have mineral water & bathroom for which you have to pay .

If your looking for place to Jog, Run, do Yoga or just want to sit then this is the place. It has a play area for kids as well. Very well maintained park, they charge Rs. 12 for adult. You will not find shady crowd at all. The outer path is approx 330M which is good to walk as well as run. The place becomes crowded in the evening and can get difficult to run. It opens early and shuts around 9. Its beautiful in the evening with flowers and finely chopped Grasses and Bushes. You will find ample chairs to sit on one of the sides under a shed where many old yet fit ppl occupy the space. Parking for scooters and bike is available. For cars it can be difficult to find...
