❌❌❌Rude behaviour from staff❌❌❌ Mediocre tasting sweets. Being a Bengali myself, I urge every other Bengali to avoid this shop and go somewhere else. The staff is not at all trained and very rude. The owner has also some house rules that we need to eat any sweets outside the shop and not inside. This happened to me when it was 3 in the afternoon, I walked into the shop, it is in the last week of April and it is 42 degrees outside and no one in the shop but me. I bought a sweet and tasted it inside while the staff told me that I should eat at that corner where the sink is located and I tasted the sweet because I needed to check the quality before I could buy some quantity. But to my surprise the people told me the rules are to eat outside. What is wrong with this shop, seriously. NOT MANY SWEET SHOPS IN INDIA ASK THEIR CUSTOMERS WHO ARE BAREFOOT TO GO OUT OF THE SHOP AND EAT. Pathetic practice. Plus you would have to leave your footwear outside. This attitude towards your customers is very disheartening. I didn't expect this. I have been to the shop before and I took parcel of other sweets too, like Sandesh and samosa etc.I repeat, THE SWEETS ARE MEDIOCRE TASTING. No parking by the way. You would have to park right on the street. The parcel which they do of the sweets needs an improvement. The packaging is bad and they say that it won't leak, but it does leak (the packaging doesn't have a seal). I have previously experienced this when I took almost dry sweets and it leaked into my laptop bag. Overall the attitude is very bad, hope they improve as I am taking my business elsewhere and not recommending this...

Found the rasgulla to be very tasty and of good quality, making it a popular choice for dessert specially Rosogolla with Jaggery Syrup, it is a value-for-money product, very good in quality or texture, suggesting personal preference plays a significant role in the overall satisfaction with the product.

All products are authentic Bangali sweets,

Gud(Jaggery)Sandesh: Boosts energy levels, Jaggery is a good source of natural sugars, which can give you a quick boost of energy. Gud is rich in calcium and iron, I would like to suggest please try Sondesh with Jaggery Syrup should be tried it is very good in taste.

The Another sweet which I love the most of this store is "Kheer Kadom". Kheer Kadam, also known as Raskadam, praise its unique "sweet within a sweet" texture, where a juicy Rasgulla is encased in a flavorful khoya (sweetened milk solids) shell. The dessert is a popular Bengali delicacy. The combination of the soft chenna from the rasgulla and the sweet, crumbly khoya shell creates a unique "double joy". it is a delicious and delightful experience.

The Owner is very good, experience was very good, excellent service. staff helpfulness, shop cleanliness, and competitive pricing for the products. Appreciate shop that offer fresh ingredients, unique flavors, and both traditional and ready-to-eat snacks and Sweets.

But I was really missing rasmalai and chamcham these two were out of stock on the day I had visited this place.

Babu Moshai Moshti shop, nestled on Khadki Road near Pune University, emerges as the go-to destination for authentic Bengali sweets in Pune. This hidden gem boasts a diverse array of delectables, ranging from the renowned Rasgulla to the delicate Sandesh, and from sweet plum pickle to zesty mango pickle. Offering a tempting selection that includes cream chop, malai chom chom, and an array of unique farsaan and sev flavors, this quaint shop caters to the sweet cravings of Punekars.

The intimate setting of the shop, with its limited clientele mostly comprising Bengali patrons, adds to the charm. The amiable shop owner ensures a sweet and cooperative experience for every visitor. What sets Babu Moshai Moshti apart is not just the delightful taste of its offerings but also the affordability compared to the Marwadi sweet shops scattered across Pune city.

The wow-worthy taste is consistently maintained, making each visit a flavorful delight. Whether you drop by during peak hours or off-peak times, the distinctive flavors remain unchanged. For those with a sweet tooth, this establishment is a must-visit, earning its spot as a highly recommended haven for indulging in authentic Bengali...

Edit 2025: Visited after a long time. Had the same pathetic experience. They are selling microwave- reheated Samosa for 23 rs a piece. It was soggy. Masala was good but the crust was not the crunchy one that one would love. 6 of us had this, including 3 senior citizens from Kolkata who had the same opinion. Below portion of the review was in 2021. The owner mistook it for today's and responded that they don't sell it. This review was there for 4 years but he didn't respond. Love it or hate it, Babumoshai is the only resort for Bengalis in West Pune because of the Mishti, Chops, Singaras, and Raw materials. I used to love them too. But, I am shaken by this what happened tonight. A guest of ours brought mishti from Babumoshai. Khir chop. Wonderful as always until I found two plastic pieces inside the Mishti. Thank God it was me and not my 6 year old - if swallowed we could have had hell of a time - A serious accident averted. I have serious doubts on their hygiene conditions now - Not visiting this place ever again.

Very Disappointed – Duplicate Product Sold Last time I bought ‘Dulal Chandra Bhar’ Talmishri from Babumoshai Misti, it was original and tasted excellent. But this time, they gave me a duplicate version. The taste, texture, and even the bottle are clearly different. Shockingly, they pasted their own price sticker of ₹150, but when I peeled it off, I saw the original printed price underneath was only ₹78. This is highly unethical. I have kept both the original and the new bottle, along with the recent bill, and I’m uploading the pictures here as proof. Selling fake or low-quality products under a trusted brand name is not only misleading but unacceptable. This experience has truly broken my trust in the shop.
