Ngor Monastery is an absolute hidden gem tucked away uphill from Summit Norling Resort. The short hike to reach it — especially in the early morning or evening — is peaceful and rewarding, making it a perfect spot for a leisure walk amidst nature.
The moment you arrive, the calmness and serenity of the place washes over you. It’s not crowded, which adds to its meditative charm. A resident monk welcomed us warmly and kindly took the time to guide us through both the new and old temples, sharing insights about the monastery’s history, Buddhist teachings, and the various deities worshipped there. His hospitality and knowledge added immense depth to our visit.
