The location of the museum is just fantastic being in a castle and seeing old gems is a very beautiful experience the entery is with a small fee and the inside is cool. I would say the downside of the location is not a lot of people are there that is why there isn't much attention paid for the museum with some revenations it would be a great place.

Very cheap entry fee, they also give out free water which was very nice especially in the Hawler heat. Many authentic and beautiful gems and stones. They also have a gift shop where you can buy gems and minerals or items made from them like prayer beads. (Photos are not allowed in the gift shop)

It's a very small museum. I guess if you're really interested in gems and stones it can be nice to see it. They have a nice rooftop spot where you can take a cool picture.

Interesting gems that i personally did not know existed .. although some of it was fake which gives it a disadvantage plus there was a tiny store inside that sold jewelry made of stones they were beautiful but expensive wouldn't recommend buying them .. you can get better ones for cheaper price if you don't mind traveling a bit more...

It is the only gem museum in Erbil until June 2017. Considering its new establishment, it has a nice collection of stones and everything is put on show in a stylish way. The collection is from around the world. You can buy nice small stones for low price. The owner is passionate to explain the...
