Worst customer experience of my life. This happened over two hours ago and I’m still shaken and upset by the experience hours later, I can’t stop thinking about it and I don’t think I can even do it justice in writing. The call has to be heard to fully experience the absolute appalling attitude and level of aggression I was subjected to.
I Ordered two pizzas and two starters. Upon delivery we noticed that one of the starters was missing and that cookies were given to us instead.
I rang the Leopardstown branch at 22.59 to ask what could be done/see if we could send back the cookies and get the starters we had ordered and I have NEVER in my life been spoken to as rudely and aggressively as I was.
I actually began to cry and had to hand the phone to my partner and I have been crying since.
The woman who answered told me she realised already that there had been a mistake and she would credit my account, which was fine but then she immediately turned aggressive and angry when I politely asked if there was anything that could be done now about the mix up. She snapped at me and asked “What do you expect me to do, I have no drivers now it’s 11pm!”. I became upset and was in complete shock at how rude and aggressive she had become, I froze and could not respond, I was actually shaking, so my partner took my phone.
She said to my partner that she can send the starter first thing in the morning and he said that doesn’t suit and then she raised her voice further. He asked what are we supposed to do with the food now that we don’t want and she said “what do you expect me to do? Eat whatever you can” again very rudely and sarcastically. At this point my partner asked for her name as he wanted to make a complaint about how we were being spoken to, but she wouldn’t provide it due to data protection.
He asked could he speak to someone above her to make a complaint, she said there is no one above her, that she is one of the managers. He asked who can he make a complaint to and she said make one to me, tauntingly. Again, he asked is there nobody else he can speak to about this and she said no, there is nobody above me. He asked for an email address and she also would not provide him with one. She then hung up on him mid sentence. He rang back twice and she picked up and then hung up before he could speak.
I have been crying for the last half an hour in utter shock at having been spoken to and treated like an animal. In fact I don’t think an animal would even be subjected to that level of disrespect and rudeness.
We rang the dominos Dundrum store instead to ask for an email address to send a complaint to, seeing as she would not provide us with one, and spoke to a lovely man who apologised on her behalf and gave us the address. We spoke to two people in Dundrum who were both very nice and one of them mentioned that there have been a lot of problems with the staff in this branch so if I could give anyone any advice I going forward it would be obviously not to use them but if you are going to MAKE SURE YOU RECORD THE CALL and mention that you are recording so hopefully you won’t be spoken to the way I was, the woman clearly knew she was wrong and hoped the problem would go away by not giving her name and not providing us with the customer service email and pretending there was absolutely nobody that was above her that we could talk to in Dominos and then by hanging up and not answering any more calls. I am hoping dominos record all their calls so they can listen back to how I...
Read moreEDIT credit where it’s due, this place has really upped it’s game since this poor experience at the start so I have edited my review from 1 star to 3 star. (I’m not sure Domino’s can ever be above 3 star tbh)
I could see from the App that my pizza was out of the oven and at ‘quality checking’ status for 40 mins, so I called the restaurant to ask if there was a problem. They said there was no problem and my food was already on the way, I live 5 minutes from the restaurant. I continued to watch it in ‘quality checking’ status for another 25 mins. It arrived 35 minutes later and stone cold. Clearly it was sitting out of the oven for an hour. I called again to complain and was told that a replacement pizza would take the same length of time as they are short on drivers. They offered a refund as the only feasible option. I decided to reheat the pizza in the oven as I was starving after waiting 75 minutes but couldn’t eat it as it was absolutely smothered in BBQ sauce. Appreciate I did select the ‘additional BBQ sauce’ option but surely common sense should prevail with the amounts that are actually edible before completely destroying the pizza. The sauce was dripping off the base, along with all of the toppings. I couldn’t eat it even if I wanted to. First time ordering here, needless to say it’s going to take a lot for me to consider ordering...

Pizzas have been cold, undercooked, the last 3 times, despite me calling them to do the pizza well cooked.
One of the times they forgot 6 euro worth of dips and had to recredit my account.
When I made an order the next week online for pizza and then called to have the dips added with the credit on my account, they said they couldn’t add the dips into my online order and deliver it with the 40€ of food that was being delivered to my house. And went on as if putting dips in a bag with the pizza being delivered was impossible to do and said I needed to make a separate order of 12€. Absolute space cadets working in this place, management and staff. And “Patrick” in particular, ignorant rude and hangs up the phone when he can’t compute basic...
