Leopardstown Racecourse is guaranteed to fulfil your expectations! From the moment I stepped off the Luas, the ease of access was unparalleled. The seamless integration of public transport and busses laid on by rthe course makes getting to the racecourse a breeze, especially with the convenient bus service directly from the Luas stop to the grandstand.
Once inside, the array of dining options are varied. From gourmet restaurants to eclectic food stands, there's something to tantalize every taste bud. Whether you're craving a sumptuous sit-down meal or a quick bite on the go, Leopardstown has you covered. There is not a great deal by way of vegetarian options and this area could be improved. It is remarkable that they do not price gouge for drink prices like a lot tracks abroad..
The stands and VIP areas are impeccably designed, offering prime views of the thrilling races while providing top-notch hospitality. Whether you're mingling with fellow enthusiasts or enjoying the exclusive perks of VIP treatment, you will live the moment and feel special.
The parade ring is a highlight, allowing you to get up close and personal with the magnificent horses before they take to the track. And the atmosphere? Electric! The palpable excitement and camaraderie among racegoers create an unforgettable experience that keeps me coming back for more.
Overall, Leopardstown Racecourse delivers a five-star experience from start to finish. With its seamless accessibility, diverse dining options, luxurious amenities, and vibrant atmosphere, it's the ultimate destination for any racing enthusiast. Can't wait to return for another thrilling day...
Read moreExcellent day out in the pavilion for the 'family feast'. Would 100% recommend to a friend.
Good location, easy to get to from the m50, Parking is free, free shuttle buses run from the car park to the grounds.
Lots of fun and great excitement watching the Christmas racing, this is a day out that would suit all ages.
Hospitality was top class, Richard was an exceptional host, nothing was too much trouble. Our group had mixed ages ( and neurodiversity! #asd) Everyone enjoyed the day. The food was top quality. The band 'the swing cats' were excellent, providing very enjoyable entertainment between the races.
In the grounds of the racecourse there was a bouncy castle, face painting and a play area - no extra charge. There are also many food trucks, bars etc. There is a great festival atmosphere in the grounds.
The racing was exciting to watch, 2 miles +, over jumps, top quality horses and jockeys, real stamina required to finish, the pavilion gives a good view of the finish line.
A suggestion would be to provide some child friendly options in the menu, while the food was a hit with everyone in our group, for smaller children (or maybe those with sensory issues) plain things like mashed potato, pasta, Mac and cheese, sausages, goujons etc would be good to have available on request.

In my humble opinion it's the number one Racecourse in Ireland because it caters for both top class Flat and National Hunt racing. The success of the four day annual Christmas Festivals, the two day Dublin Racing Festival held in February ( best pre Cheltenham trials ) and the Saturday Champions Day in September speaks for itself. It holds the best trials for both Guineas races and the Derby and it's a pity the Curragh has a monopoly on the five Classics as Leopardstown deserves at least just one, maybe the St Leger. The facilities are superb and the impressive lay out means you can experience the unique atmosphere and excitement of a day at the races up close and personal. Down through the years I have had the privilege to witness so many Racing legends both human and equine and will just mention a few, Lester Piggott, Pat Eddery, Frankie Dettori, Ryan Moore, Vincent O'Brien and Aidan O'Brien, Sadler's Wells, Golden Fleece, Daylami, Dawn Run, Istabraq, Danoli and Hurricane Fly. The only thing I miss is the straight Sprint course as Sprint races run around two bends are...
