The Shopping Centre is not too big, is easily navigated, has Dunnes Stores as its "Anchor" Store, with Boots Pharmacy a good "second mate"! The staff in O'Briens Cafe makes one very welcome, and it's my "go to" place to meet friends for lunch or just for a coffee. The two restaurants there are Eddie Rocket's, as well as Look Mam No Hands. Food + Service in both establishments are very good. Thunders Bakery serves delicious cakes, and Scrum Diddies serves delicious Ice Cream. Gift Emporium is a joy to brouse for household gifts, and the Bookstop is a joy to brouse for the latest novel (or magazine, or to get the Lotto). I spend many hours a month in More for Less - a great place to shop for items to set up one's kitchen and replenish household stock, as well as for candles, and for toys. I'm forever going to the DIY shop for sandpaper and paint, as well as screws and cupboard handles, etc. The staff there are very helpful and knowledgeable. The Pet Store is where I replenish my cat supplies, and buy toys for my son's dog. The tweeting of birds there is reminiscent of warm country days, and the joy on children's faces as they carry home their precious cargo of live fish is lovely to behold. I have also visited the Card Shop, the Shoe Store, the Jewellers, the Flower Shop, and the Key Cutting Store, as well as the new "Love" clothing boutique, and feel we are so lucky to have them in the Centre. Have still to explore the other Stores (a Hairdressers, a Barbers, an Electronics store, a Bike Shop, a Sports shop, a clothes Alterations Shop, and other Stores + various Concession Stands), and will leave individual store reviews as...
Read moreCharlestown Shopping Centre is a shopping centre located in the northern end of Finglas in Dublin, that opened in October 2007.
Charlestown provides an enviable blend of retailers offering its customers choice, style and variety complemented by a unique contemporary retailing environment, which has set the standard for shopping centre design and finish.
It have a decent sized Dunnes, reasonably priced butchers, a good Lifestyle Sports, a Heatons which is rare to come across anymore and a good sized Boots and David Cullen Jewellers, House of Colour Euro Giant
Definitely not a substitute for say Blanchardstown or going to the city centre but ideal for the weekly shop & any other minor running around you might have. They also have an O'Briens, a Bagel Factory and an Eddie Rockets that delivers!! If they threw in a Penney's or a H&M I think it would be perfect for what it is.
Odeon Charlestown Cinema consisted of a nine screen, and a Leisureplex which includes a Bowling alley and Quasar. It's our favourite cinema to go to. It's always clean, the staff are friendly and they do the best cinema nachos ever. There's always a great selection of films and they do a great deal on tickets on a Wednesday so it doesn't cost the earth to have a good night out.
For car parking there is 500 basement parking spaces and 300 on the surface, you’ll always find a space at The Charlestown Centre. The first three hours are free and hours thereafter are charged at only €1.50 per hour. Dont forget you can have your car valeted or serviced...
Read moreThe shopping centre seemed to be following covid 19 guidelines. very clean however having not been in the centre before I found it very intimidating, in terms of what I was looking for. I went in search of fidgets for a reward for child being good. I was informed that they were sold by 2 stores. So different stores selling fidget toys all at different competing prices!!! against each other and with a child screaming looking for the first one he saw. which guess what WAS THE MOST EXPENSIVE ONE AS YOU ENTERED THE STORE. ( It was like a setup iny opinion) I found it very intimidating.
The ice cream store had a queue on my along.
The gadget store if that's why it's called where the cell stands for phone, fidgets, ave lamps ect. didn't even give you time to look around. but they where on top of you asking questions.
Overall I was Not happy, Felt that i could not relax and enjoy the experience. As I had heard great things...
