Absolutely Appalling Experience with Apache Pizza, Charlestown
I’ve given this location more than enough chances to improve, but after my fourth bad experience, I have to speak out. Every time I’ve ordered through the Just Eat app, I’ve selected specific items, only to receive a call 20 minutes later saying those items are out of stock. This has happened four times in a row. Meanwhile, I’ve been charged the full range of fees—small order fee, delivery fee, service fee—for items they can’t even deliver.
This last time, I asked for a compromise or compensation after yet another call informing me that my order couldn’t be fulfilled. The manager on the phone was dismissive, rude, and outright lied to me, claiming I’d never ordered from Apache Pizza before. Not only was this blatantly untrue, but being told what I supposedly didn’t do as a paying customer was baffling and infuriating.
To make matters worse, he talked over me, refused to let me explain my frustration, and arrogantly stated that they don’t make money on certain items (like ice creams). I showed understanding of that fact, but he still offered nothing—no apology, no compensation, no store credit. He told me there was “nothing he could do” and brushed me off entirely.
The level of rage this manager caused me by lying and dismissing my concerns is beyond words. I have many friends in the food business, and I’ll be making sure his behavior is brought to the attention of the right people.
This store’s service is abysmal. If they can’t fulfill orders, they shouldn’t list those items in the first place. Charging customers for unavailable items, then refusing to address complaints, is not just unprofessional—it’s downright unethical.

They substituted churros for burnt nutella bites with barely anything in them, also took 30 minutes longer to get here than it should've. Just called to ask about the nutella bites cause at that point I just wasn't happy and wished I'd cancelled. Read moreDecided to order in store on Sunday evening - not only did I get over charged for a large pizza (advertised at 17.50 yet charged me 20.50), but as I was waiting approx. 20 minutes after placing order I noticed staff do not use any gloves during prep and packing. There was multiple pizzas done in this time and not one were hands washed, sterilised or gloved.
