Nice quiet small lake with a duck, swan and other waterfowl feeding or observation area. There are signs up advising people not to feed bread to the birds however, as it can make birds sick and gunk up the water. So if you'd like to feed the birds it's better to bring something other than bread. There are a few benches and some tables around for picnics. Good for dog walks. If visiting with young kids you should note that while mostly quiet it is an active road so some traffic will pass by and there is no footpath. The children can do a bit of exploring on the hillside, see the birds in their natural habitat feeding from the well positioned feed tables. If you are energetic, a walk south into the village of Marlfield or along the drive to the "big house" of Marlfield and see how the other half lived.
