From the time you drive into the Golf resort to the time you leave you will enjoy every minute. And I can only echo some of the comments about the course: the super fast and uneven greens are going to destroy the last hope you had, the fairways are in meticulous condition, and the tee boxes are nicely fair to get a good first shot in. The Guiness/Slazenger castle (now a tourist destination) gives the course the right Irish feeling. But do not expect a Links course or similar, even though there are some areas with rather rough Links grass. Rather compare it to a continental European course, with lots of woods and doglegs demanding exact shots (playing from the Whites). It's also quite a hilly course for certain holes but manageable to walk. The 4 rating is given because of the sand in the bunkers (stone hard) - one would expect better sand in a country with sand beaches all around the island. This might be something useful to work on. The most exciting holes for me were 4, 6, 13 (nice Castle and course view), 16 (exciting Par 5 down the hill) and 18.

Exceptional golf coaching and welcoming service. I’ve had an incredible experience with coach Paul. He has been instrumental in refining my golf skills, providing exceptional guidance in every session. His expertise, combined with a passion for teaching, has turned each lesson into a delightful journey of improvement. Moreover, the staff in the pro shop have consistently been friendly and helpful, contributing to the overall welcoming atmosphere of PGC. Their enthusiasm and willingness to assist have added to an extra layer of comfort to my visits. I wholeheartedly recommend PGC for both the outstanding coaching and the welcoming environment provided by the entire staff. Thank you for making my time here so memorable. I am eagerly looking forward to my next visit!

Loved this course and a great way to start or golfing exploits in Ireland. Staff were really friendly and accommodating across the board. The West Course itself was superb, in great condition and and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The only minor issue was that we weren't made aware work was being done on one of the holes turning it into a short par 3....just a nod for the staff in pro shop. The bar afterwards was superb and cannot recommend the sausage rolls highly enough......they were magnificent All in all a wonderful course and experience and would love to go back at some stage.

I had never had the chance to visit Powerscourt G.C.before but my brother in law decided it was time to visit today.I know its early November and conditions aren't ideal but all I can say is I'm sorry I've left it till now to visit. Not knowing either course I randomly chose the West but unfortunately it was closed today presumably because of the current and previous wet weather Ireland has been experiencing. However I received an early morning message advising me that my booking had been switched to the East course at roughly the same time.. if that suited me.When I arrived the young lady in the pro shop was most helpful and told me we could tee off whenever we were ready.Anyway to the course itself I dont know which of the courses is supposed to be the best but all I can say is that the East course is just a fantastic golf course.I thoroughly enjoyed my round and I look forward to playing the West in future.Despite the damp conditions the course is in excellent condition, the fairways are in great shape and the greens just great for November .Credit to the greens staff for...
