This beach was our worst experience in Sardinia. Extremely overcommercialized place. To park on a dirty area between bushes you have to pay 3 € per hour. Feels like being controlled by the mafia. The beach is mostly in the hands of beach clubs that have put way too much sunloungers on it for which you have to pay. If you want a "free beach", there are 50 meters left where you can put your towel next to your neighbor's. Meaning while many sunloungers are not used, people have to squeeze themselves on this empty space. As if this is not enough they have put an air climbing castle for kids on the water in front of the free beach area so that you can't look at the sea from there. Guess that's how they want to force you to eventually pay for a lounger. The water is very torquise and clear though. But Sardinia has so many beautiful beaches, if you are not into mainstream tourist commerzialisation and organized rip-offs, don't go here during the...
Read moreBeautiful long, sandy beach with crystal clear water. There are various concessions in season charging astronomical prices for sunbeds & umbrellas but there are also free public areas. Extremely busy in August, arrive by 10am to avoid long queues. Bring your own food or you will need deep pockets for the restaurants. A coffee can cost 4 euros, even standing at the bar! There is pedalò rental and an area with large floating inflatables. The beach has designated smoking areas in the hope that people will not smoke elsewhere. There are several official car parks which are not cheap but do NOT be tempted to park anywhere along the road - it makes access difficult for emergency services to access the area in case of fire, accident etc and you will receive a parking fine, police make regular checks. By the end of September everything will be closed and cleared away and the beach returns to its beautiful...
Read moreThe sea and the bay are beautiful, but this place will not be my favorite. A sunbed with an umbrella for one person is 30 euros, but the basic, a glass of white wine in a plastic glass is 10 euros. Compared to Ira Beach in Porto Rotondo, Liscia Ruja is not worth it. At Ira Beach, it's 20 euros for a sunbed and umbrella, and 6 euros for a glass of wine in a wine glass that you can drink on the sunbed. The staff are nicer and don't try to make a fool of you. Plus, parking is free on Ira Beach. I’ve been here for a month and tried several beaches but here people pass your sunbed every 3 seconds and try to sell something to you which is...
