The hut is at a very good location direct at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. To begin with the good parts: We've booked the hut just two days in advance to stay overnight and they still had capacity for us. Also the staff is quite friendly. On the downside the do not have a drying room for wet clothes which is in my eyes quite important for hikers that want to stay overnight. We just found out due the fact that we arrived there in wet clothes. Unfortunately the food is very bad. I've had Spaghetti Bolognese and I could not determine what was inside the tomato sauce. Also the breakfast was really below expectations, not even cheese slices were provided. The beer is very expensive! The menus was honest saying the polenta and mushroom are from frozen products but the waitress insisted it is only occasionally. It was the worst polenta or unidentified yellow liquid I have ever tasted. The texture was more like saliva than food. The mushrooms were so salty that I considered returning the dish. Unfortunately, I thought mixing it with the strange yelp paste would make it eatable but it has so much salt it did not work. It’s OK to serve frozen dishes from micro heating but why did the waitress lie? Why did they not offer some refund or compensation? Well they are well located that they don’t give a shit on the tourist they trap…. If you decide to eat there stay away from the starred frozen items and also have minimal...
