We stopped for food during our hike. It was quite crowded on a Saturday in June and we had to wait for about 30 minutes in line to order The carbonara pasta were just normal, nothing special about them. The polenta with mushrooms and cheese was really good and tasty. I would not recommend some of the sweets- we had a cake with chocolate and cream and it was both old and tasteless. The appfelstrudel was ok The view is amazing and their terrace seems big enough to accommodate everyone who stops for food

We spent a night in this beautiful place traveling on the Alta Via 1 route, we walked through a snow storm all day, we were very wet and tired.. but we was totally refreshed on a morning because of such an amazing experience in Refugio! About accommodation: The private room for two was great, very clean and comfortable beds. There is uninterrupted hot water in the showers, the dinner is very tasty, and a special thank you for the drying room, it was very useful after such a wet day! Thank you!

The hut is at a very good location direct at the Tre Cime di Lavaredo. To begin with the good parts: We've booked the hut just two days in advance to stay overnight and they still had capacity for us. Also the staff is quite friendly. On the downside the do not have a drying room for wet clothes which is in my eyes quite important for hikers that want to stay overnight. We just found out due the fact that we arrived there in wet clothes. Unfortunately the food is very bad. I've had Spaghetti Bolognese and I could not determine what was inside the tomato sauce. Also the breakfast was really below expectations, not even cheese slices were provided. The beer is very expensive! My impression is that the quality might not improve because they know that anyway there will be enough customers at such a good location. But I definitely hope for a better quality and most importantly:...

I would strongly urge women—especially groups of young women—to think carefully before booking this rifugio.

During our stay, we experienced inappropriate behavior from two male staff members who were wearing uniforms. They lingered just outside the entrance to the dorm rooms and made unsolicited and uncomfortable comments about our group. This left us feeling unsafe and unsettled.

Other staff appeared aware of the situation, as they seemed visibly uncomfortable, but no action was taken. The situation was made worse by the assumption that we wouldn’t understand Italian, which only highlighted the inappropriateness.

Beyond this, the rifugio was very poor value. Despite being one of the most expensive we stayed at, there was no free drinking water, no WiFi, and very limited amenities.

We would not recommend this rifugio, especially for women traveling alone...

A real tourist trap! Their location is very logical for a break so we had lunch. The menus was honest saying the polenta and mushroom are from frozen products but the waitress insisted it is only occasionally. It was the worst polenta or unidentified yellow liquid I have ever tasted. The texture was more like saliva than food. The mushrooms were so salty that I considered returning the dish. Unfortunately, I thought mixing it with the strange yelp paste would make it eatable but it has so much salt it did not work. It’s OK to serve frozen dishes from micro heating but why did the waitress lie? Why did they not offer some refund or compensation? Well they are well located that they don’t give a shit on the tourist they trap…. If you decide to eat there stay away from the starred frozen items and also have minimal...
