One of my favorite places to visit, majestic rocks, outstanding sunsets, dark skies make this place in my top 10. It's safe in the middle of night and usually full of fellow photographers and rock climbers. Milky way in season is visible to the naked eye. If yoy are thinking to book a local refugio, better give up on the idea of email, phone and whatsapp - they never respond and year after year they have the same automated bouncing back email (systems do not work, handling thousands of emails etc etc) perhaps best to book directly, but then again it's a...

Went on a 6 hour hike around the 3 peaks today, the hike was easy for beginners (we had our dog with us) but the views are breathtaking! The last stage of the walk is all uphill until you reach a lovely refuge that serves nice cake and drinks.

You can look in any direction here and you will be amazed! If you come by car to get to the parking you must pay €30! At first I thought this was madness until I got there and realised that it was money well spent.

This one was on my bucket list for years and I’m soo happy I finally...

The temperature can fluctuate significantly, so it’s highly recommended that hikers bring warm clothing, such as a down jacket.

In addition, some parts of the trail are quite steep and rugged, so wearing proper hiking shoes is advised. Hiking poles would also be helpful.

Lastly, it’s a good idea to check in advance whether the mountain rest stops are open. On the day we went, all the restrooms were closed and the café at the summit wasn’t...
