Time has taught me that hard earned holiday opportunities are precious, so much changing world to see in so little time that it rarely makes sense to 'go back'.... and yet I find myself here yet again in this Tuscan valley where time stands still and the people I meet from across Europe make their own return, year after year, feel like a secret that I shouldnt really share. Having lived, worked and travelled across Italy over more years than I care to admit this Agriturismo with it's timeless vineyards and olive groves feels like 'coming home' and captures the most authentic Italian experience imaginable. A serene walk up the hill to the historic cafés, bars and restaurants of Barbarino Val D'Elsa or short drive to Lucca, Pisa, Florence, San Gimignano and Siena are just distractions from the tranquility of the dappled shade of the pristine pool and breathtaking views from the clean and spacious farmhouse style apartments. If the Italian sun is such that you might need Aircon, or that your time is so limited that a day or two of the thunderstorms that keep Tuscany so green (or even making the Italian coffee that can only come from a moka pot!), might frustrate your plans, then perhaps this one lies a little further down your road...more for travellers than tourists but to each his own and whatever your needs and expectations no one could be any less than enchanted by this...
