Wir waren in Meran und haben wegen einer Führung angefragt. Auf deutsch war in der Woche nichts verfügbar, daher haben wir die Tour auf Englisch gebucht. Grund wieso es keine Tour auf Deutsch gab war, dass die Mitarbeiterin die Deutsch kann gerade in Deutschland auf Kundenbesuch war. Wir wurden vom Sohn des Inhabers (in 6. Generation im Familienbesitz) herumgeführt. Er hat sich sehr viel Zeit genommen und uns alles im Detail erklärt. Dies ist eine kleine aber sehr feine Destillerie, bei der Tradition und Klasse statt Masse noch grossgeschrieben wird. Bei der anschliessenden Degustation im Shop kann man wirklich alle, auch die teuren Grappa probieren. Wir haben insgesamt 9 verschiedene probiert und es ist erstaunlich wie unterschiedlich die Geschmäcker sind. Unsere Favoriten haben wir natürlich mit heim genommen. Also am besten per Webseite für eine Tour anfragen. Wenn man Grappa mag lohnt es sich.

Da wir in erster Linie hier waren um mehr über den Mountain Whiskey zu erfahren, konnten ich diesen gleich testen. Eine kurze Führung durch die Produktion und das kleine Museum war inklusive. Vielen Dank noch einmal dafür.

A friend recommended we visit this distillery because of the kind people and the best grappa. We contacted the distillery on short notice and spoke with Serena, who also served as our tour guide. We took the 360° tour, which was very nice. The information was very interesting and complete. We were free to ask any questions throughout the whole tour. The tastings were very good and tailored to our preferences. In the end, we were there one hour over time, which was no problem.

They have a great variety and very good quality products. My friend was right about them having the best grappa. Their whisky is also very good and unique. You can see in everything that they prioritize quality over profits and quantity. They also have a very nice museum and barrel cellar. I have no bad words about this traditional distillery and they deserve a 5 out of 5 stars recommendation without a doubt. Thanks again for this...

We visited the Villa de Varda distillery today, was a fantastic experience. after visiting the distillery where the grappa and whisky is produced, we visited the ageing room and the wonderful museum.
