Spiaggia di Coccorino — Local services in Joppolo

This is a very nice beach, it's a pebble beach, typical of the tyrhenian coast of Calabria, a long white pebble beach flanked with rocky outcrops on either side, the sea is crystal clear and it's wonderful to swim in. There is a shower at the beach, so you can wash the salt off of you. There are some private parts of the beach, where a company is renting out umbrellas and lying chairs, but the greater part of the beach is public and you can bring your own umbrella and chairs there.

I’m not sure I would even call this place a beach. Almost the entire shoreline is covered with large rocks that make it difficult and unsafe to enter the water. There are only two narrow safe spots: the boat launch ramp, and on the opposite end a small sandy patch right next to the mouth of a little river (which smells quite bad, so its cleanliness is very questionable). The access route isn’t very appealing either.

In my opinion, there are many beaches in this area that are far better option than this...

La piccola spiaggia di Coccorino si trova lungo la strada tra Joppolo e Capo Vaticano, percorrendo le stradine lungo la costa che conducono alle varie località. Peccato che le strade siano strette, spesso maltenute, e "abbellite" da rifiuti a bordo strada. La spiaggia è fatta di scogli con 2 parti contenenti sabbia ai 2 estremi della piccola baia (è possibile parcheggiare lungo la strada poco prima della spiaggia). La spiaggia sulla sinistra è più ampia ed ha anche una parte attrezzata con ombrelloni e sdraio. È possibile nuotare anche nella baia di fianco accedendo via mare e via scogli (peccato che il mare presentava una schiumetta bianca). Zona bella per lo snorkeling!
