I visited many many times over the last 5 years with my wife (Italian). The chicken or other food is always very good here. The staff are always very pleasant with quick service. 2 small complaints. Stock some red wine. You don't have to put it on the menu if it doesn't fit with the befed style/ marketing approach but why not have some simple red wine for somebody who wants it? It is purely nonsensical. Second. The staff often put the customer in a place close to others so they have to walk less to the nicer areas of the beautiful garden. I will not make fuss about this. I understand it helps the (genuinely hard working) waiters (and is often very busy!). Last night we ask to go outside (as we always do) and despite not being very busy we are put at a table with a slight roof overhanging it (well, i suppose you say a patio, but certainly not enclosed, a small area of a few tables, and we are right at the edge so almost outside the area). After the meal we have our quick customary 1 cigarette each (before leaving) and are told by (a nice and very polite) waitress halfway through our cigarette if we could please move to table just slightly further away. Why when you seat us (a different waiter, also very nice) after we ask to sit outside do you not mention you are putting us in a no smoking outside area? No signs anywhere say no smoking in this area either. It spoils the dinner. If you want to seat the outside customer as near as possible, please at least mention is no smoking in this small area we never sat in before. I think it is great that they have this small outside area for non smokers but just need to be sure to mention it. I will return again. It is a case of an absolutely excellent (and as such very popular) restaurant that has room for some small and practical improvements to become 100%. See you next time. Thank you for the always excellent food and always pleasant staff...

I have been to this restaurant a few times, and every time I can’t stop thinking that this was a disco a long time ago (where I used to go when I was young).

The owner did a great job in redecorating (and transforming) the place: although it’s a medium-sized restaurant, it still feels cozy. Its location is also very good: the restaurant is located in Barcola, the “Riviera neighborhood” of the city, where you can a have a nice after-dinner walk before going home. There is plenty of street parking available, however it may be difficult to find it in summer when Barcola is full of local beachgoers.

Their menu is very simple: they make panini, chicken and sausages, and they have craft beer. I really enjoyed my half chicken, which came with fries and polenta.

A must in Trieste especially if you are looking for real grilled chicken. Perfect place to visit with friends and family or to have a date. The ambiance is pretty chill, great service, and the food is delicious. Highly recommended.

A ordered the grilled chicken with has price of 12 euros and beers go to 2.5 euros and up. There's a section on the menu for kids that include of course smaller portions, very thoughtful as the food is a lot and no one wants to waste any. Vegetarian food is available as well.

The food doesn't come with fork or knife to eat Yep you have to use to hands but these are available if needed. I encourage you to use your hands.

It's close to Barcola so after eating you can enjoy...

I had the most disgusting meal of our entire EU/UK trip at this establishment. Honestly, a grocery store sandwich would have been better. I had their signature dish - chicken: the veggies (eggplant, zucchini overcooked the day before?) were way past their "best before" date, akin to gelatinous globs; the chicken was dry; the sad 1/2 slice of bread was stale. Then I went to the Ladies room to discover no toilet, but 2 foot prints and a hole. Gross! (Especially as this looks like a relatively new build ... why?!)
