Taste Verona wine tours — Local services in Verona

My wife and I booked an Amarone-Wine tour with Taste Verona as Amarone is our all-time favorite wine. We are no strangers to wine tours as we go to Napa every other year and have also been to wineries throughout Europe. However, this one needed to be special—as Amarone holds a special place in our hearts. So after some research online we landed on Taste Verona. We could not have been more impressed with Serena—our amazing guide! She worked with us before the tour to hone in exactly what kind of flavor profile our palette preferred but also decided to throw in some local Amarone wine makers to ensure we got the “Local experience”. She also arranged a beautiful lunch for us in a secluded winery located on a hilltop! We could tell that all the wine markers, wine guides, etc knew Serena well and liked her as we were met with BIG ITALIAN SMILES everywhere we went. She drove us around in style and answered any and all questions. We really couldn’t have had a better experience! Serena was super helpful! She knows the wineries in the area very well. We wanted to see Soave and Valpolicella, and she brought us to a historic winery, family owned, toured by the owner himself in Soave (Reciotto di Soave is sooo good!), a young and family owned winery in Valpolicella, also toured by one of the owners herself, and a big, corporate winery in Valpolicella. A great comparison across different kinds of wineries!

She also arranged a very nice lunch in Soave, at a restaurant with the view of the vineyards and the castle. The food was exceptional!

Before the trip, Serena was very responsive via emails. We went back and forth about wineries that we wanted to visit, and she was able to accommodate and changed the itinerary accordingly.

Serena was wonderful! We booked an all day, private wine tour coming from a bit further away. Serena worked with us on logistics (thank goodness) and had the most perfect day planned. Her knowledge of the area and wines is impeccable. We felt like we were able to really get a complete comparison of different wines of the region and winemakers. We are fans of boutique wines so these were our favorites however, stopping at a larger producer was fun as the property is gorgeous and fairytale like.
