Aso Nature Land|Aso Activity (Paragliding/Hot Air Balloon) — Local services in Aso

Awful experience, disorganised and irresponsible management. Booked a hot air balloon experience, call time was 6:45am, woke up at 5:30am with two young kids, arrived the site at 6:20am, and found out they sent an email on cancellation at 6:14am. I have been refreshing my inbox to check on the status, half an hour in advance notification is ridiculous. I understand the wind and weather would be a major consideration and safety is top priority for us too. But can you not just wake up a little earlier and check on the weather? Tell us one q before so I don’t have to pull my young kids up so early and drove all the way to the site to see the disappointment in their eyes? And talking about refund is even more devastating, quoting directly from them:

“Refunds will be made by the card company, not by our company. We do not know anything about refunds. We do not know your card company, so we cannot look into your card. Please check with your card company. It may take some time for us to respond. We may be closed suddenly. (Lol what?).”

Do not recommend hot air balloon!!!!!

We were very disappointed with their irresponsible arrangements regarding the hot air balloon activity. No prior notice or cancellation calls either from them and Activity Japan.

We tried to reach them by email and calls one day before to make sure the weather conditions and no response received. So we followed the plan, woke at 4, drove at least 45mins to arrive the location before sunrise. We felt extremely helpless when we saw no one was there, and couldn’t reach them by calls again!!

Wow! It was the first time I have tried mountain boarding! And it was awesome! I do skate & snow boarding but with engine was little bit different :D You need a while to check the stability during accelerate and braking. Max. speed is about 30km/h and it is too much:) If you have time definitely go there and try this funny adventure!
