I liked that this supermarket has a huge selection and was open 24 hours! It's a bit if a trek from the tourist Chatan area, wayyyy up a hill... maybe a 20 minute brisk hike from American Village. All kinds of Okinawan bananas were located at the entrance. Taro potato, purple potato. They also sold many kinds of local Okinawan owned company's breads. The prices were local prices, not inflated tourist ones.

ユニオンは生活に欠かせない場所！ 店内BGMも含めて大好きな地元のローカルスーパーです！ 特に北谷店をいつも利用させて頂いてます！ 大好きな点 ○お土産物や沖縄らしいものも一通り置いてるし、購入後そのまま県内外に発送可能！ そばやジーマミー、菓子などいつも送らせて頂いてます ○商品が安い ○店内BGM ○曜日毎のセール、ポイントシステム ○月１である寿司バイキング(匠の寿司バイキング) ネタがでかいのに安い！ だいたい第一水曜日１０時から☺️ 少し残念な点 ○全員ではありませんが、レジスタッフさんの愛想は悪い方が多いです。。 忙しいのもあるかも思いますが、同じ接客業をしてた、身からしたら残念です ○セール故にレジでアプリを使いこなせない人が前にいるとかなり待ちます、、 ○青果等定価で買って傷んでいるなんてことは良くあります。 とても残念な点 ○独自のユニオンアプリによるQR決済を行っておりますが、たまに通信エラーで使用できず、｢現在お支払は現金のみです。アプリでは購入不可です｣という日があります。。。 仕事で疲れてクタクタで買い物をして、現金がないから、他店で買い物をし直さなければならないという事態になる日があるので、これは注意が必要。。 今まで2度遭遇しました。 このアプリを信用して現金をユニオンアプリにわざわざチャージして利用してますが、こうゆう事態も起こりえます。。 ユニオンで買い物する方、くれぐれもアプリを信用しすぎないでください。

The main reason I didn't give it a higher ranking is because they don't take credit card, cash only! Not even electronic funds like Edy, Paypay. Other than that, the variety of food available and reasonable pricing makes it a good place for your grocery needs. Plenty of parking along with a dry-cleaning business out front, you can get a lot done in the...
