I had a great time here and enjoyed the washing paper making process. And I made my own paper art here. It was an amazing experience. Even if you don't have any prior experience, you can make your own creative art piece here. I highly recommend to have a visit here if you are in Fukui!

2025/5/31 紙漉きの体験ができる施設です。 体験前に、卯立の工芸館で紙漉きの実演を見てから体験するとより臨場感が増すでしょう。 体験施設とは別に紙製品を扱ったショップもありますので、体験の思い出をお土産と共に持って帰れます。 こういう施設ってパッとしない所も多いんですが、越前和紙の里の越前和紙を知ってもらいたいという温度感はかなり感じました。 でも、土曜日だというのに越前和紙の里の観光客は少なかったですね．．．いい所なのにもったいないです。

(visits: 3) it's a good place to buy some washi. But the washi making is kinda for kids. I made some washi with semi private class years ago with one of the local artists and we were making stuff like you could buy in the store. Huge A3 size paper with texture and colored papyrus. At the papyrus house you make things small pieces and the colors you add look cheapy. It's a fun experience, but I wouldn't be hanging mine up...
