Urige Berghütte am Anfang der 7. Station. Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt...die Familie die die Hütte betreibt ist sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Die Einrichtung empfand ich als typisch Japanisch, vielleicht auch weil die Hütte schon sehr alt zu sein scheint. Schwierig könnte für manche allerdings die Länge der noch zu bewältigenden Strecke zum Gipfel sein, wir mussten um 23.30h aus den Federn ums noch pünktlich zu schaffen, wahrscheinlich war die Hütte deshalb auch deutlich weniger belegt als die Folgenden auf dem Yoshida-Trail, also gut für diejenigen die es nicht zu kuschlig zwischen anderen Wanderern mögen - alles in allem kann ich Hinode-kan nur wärmstens Empfehlen!

Terrible experience, the staff is not nice and too much people in this small room. The staff wakes people in the room along the night with torches and loudly and it's very hard to sleep like that.

Hinodekan is a great little inn at the 7th station on Mt Fuji. The owner is an avid photographer, and you can buy prints and postcards of her work at the inn. There's a fire pit in the center of the main area to keep warm and dry off, and hanging above it is a copper water kettle that dates back to around the 1820s. The sleeping area was, for me, impossible to sleep in. But considering the location (halfway up Mt Fuji) and the simple utilitarian service it...

We loved our stay at Hinodekan, we were recommended this hut by a gentleman in the tourist information centre at the 5th station and he called ahead to reserve us a space. When we arrived we were greeted with a warm fire and green tea. The staff were so friendly and welcoming, we had a curry for dinner and slept for a couple of hours. The perfect place to stop for a rest on Mt Fuji, couldn’t recommend it enough & definitely the best of the 7th...
