I recently visited MEGA Don Quijote Ginowan, and wow—what an experience! This place is a whirlwind of everything you could possibly need (and a lot you didn’t know you wanted). From groceries and cosmetics to electronics and quirky Japanese gadgets, the variety is incredible. I ended up spending way more time inside than I expected, just exploring all the fun and unique items.
The atmosphere is lively but a bit chaotic, so if you don’t mind a bit of “organized clutter,” you’ll love it. It took me a while to get my bearings because the layout isn’t straightforward, but discovering random treasures along the way made it fun. I also loved that it stays open super late, which was convenient for my schedule.

There's plenty of claw machine games to keep you frustrated and TONS of aisles to browse if you're looking for something unique to send home. Most items as second hand but in good condition. Need to get your anime statue collection updated? This is the place to go! MUCH better prices than the little shops at the Exchanges on base. That being said, the clothes and shoes, while usually in good condition, can be overpriced. If you're looking to get a decent prices on the items you're clearing out of your closets, you may want to look elsewhere. If you thought participating in the Swap Meets on bases were bad, this place is pretty much the same, but without sitting out waiting for folks to come by and haggle you to death. Still, again, it's fun to browse. And take...

This place often reminds me of Spencers back in the states. It is full of novelty items as well as the traditional kitchen appliances to furniture for the home. They offer tax free shopping if one is a tourist on vacation. On the left side of the store you may purchase high end bags and jewelry from top brands from around the world. School supplies and bath items are also available. I often come here to purchase gifts and snacks to take back to the US or send out as...
