Having Nino as our english snowboard instructor is the best thing happening here in hakuba!! It is my first time having snowboard lesson and I didn’t expect it to be that great experience. In 1.5 days, I learn from baby level to C turn which was really an unexpected progress!!! Nino is very patient, encouraging, supportive and he is able to give us very clear instructions, advices, techniques, skills all along the progress. We had lesson of 4 people, 2 with some experiences years ago and 2 with non experience. Nino is able to take care of everyone’s needs although we are having different learning progress. He is also making friends with us in the days, spending time and effort to chat with us, answering us questions and caring about our feeling and progress. He is absolutely the best!! We recently had an incredible 2-hour snowboarding lesson with Nino and Saori-san. They are hands down the best instructors we have ever met. Both were incredibly clear in their instructions and provided constant encouragement throughout the session.

Nino gave me an amazing taste of powder runs and greatly boosted my confidence. His ability to explain techniques and guide me through each step was exceptional. On the other hand, my friend saw tremendous improvement thanks to the useful tips and exercises from Saori-san. Her teaching methods are both effective and motivating.

Overall, our experience was fantastic, and we highly recommend Hakuba SBS to anyone looking to improve their snowboarding skills. They truly made our day on the slopes...

Having done (at least) a handful of weeks around Europe, the group of four of us went for a day of "solid intermediate" freestyle instruction. Nino gave us some excellent carving tips and tricks (down unweighted turn progressions) in the morning session and freestyle legend Taro took us from "can do a 180 with loads of hype and persuasion" to "the park isn't that scary". We also had padawan instructor Kian along for the ride, getting lots of footie for the boys (and girls)!
