⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I can't recommend Hakuba Iwatake Apartments enough! These modern apartments have everything you could possibly need for a perfect ski getaway. The spacious bedrooms are super comfortable, the large bathroom feels luxurious, and the lounge areas are cozy and inviting. The kitchen is fully equipped, making it easy to prepare a delicious meal after a long day on the slopes. What really sets this place apart though is the amazing hosts, Daniel and his family. They are the friendliest, most helpful people you could meet. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they were always more than happy to offer advice or assistance. One of the highlights of our stay was hanging out in the common bar/lounge area, chatting with Daniel and fellow guests over a beer or glass of wine. It was the perfect way to wind down after a day of skiing, plus Daniel shared some great stories about the history of the area, making it even more memorable. The location is unbeatable! It’s a true ski-in, ski-out spot, just 100m from the bottom of the Kamo 1 double chair and 350m from the brand-new gondola. While we explored other nearby resorts, nothing beat skiing straight out the door to the lifts every morning. The drying room was also top-notch. It had dedicated boot and glove dryers, plus plenty of space for skis, helmets, and jackets. Every morning, everything was perfectly dry and warm, making it a breeze to get ready for the slopes. If you're driving, the private parking is super convenient, and Daniel does an excellent job of clearing the driveway and car park each day. It made it so easy to explore the entire Hakuba valley and really discover all the amazing gems the area has to offer. Overall, a perfect place to stay in Hakuba – I’ll definitely be back

Not only do these apartments look fresh and stylish, but they are warm, quiet, large and have great beds and views right onto the slopes outside. It’s actually ski in ski out from the front door (picture from our windows below). Internet and Netflix work great. The owner will take you down the road to the grocery store as needed and helps with booking taxis if you don’t speak Japanese (big help as we had no car). He also picked us up from the shuttle bus terminal from the airport. There is no shopping at Iwatake - just skiing and some restaurants - in the township (one in picture), on the slopes and below the apartments (if you’re vegetarian or vegan like me, there is no problem as long as you can accept soup broth being chicken or dashi at times). There is a large traditionally public onsen (picture below) a short 6 minute walk away where for about $6- AUD you can soak away the sore muscles in a volcanic bath and sauna in beautiful clean conditions. Poor Japanese speech is no problem. Shuttle buses depart all day long 5 mins from front door to other Hakuba ski resorts. They are always on time and free for those with a lift ticket. But the slopes at Iwatake are large and suit many levels. All in all, staying at Iwatake Apartments was a pleasure and made the whole trip easy.

Great apartment, right on the snow. Daniel and team are the best hosts. The apartment is spacious, well-appounted and very warm and comfortable. You can easily prepare basic meals for yourself. There isn't anything nearby after 4:30pm, so if you don't want to self-cater, have a car. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars, was the fact that we could easily hear conversations between guests staying in adjacent apartments. In all other regards, this place is top notch. We enjoyed 20% discount on hiring ski gear, and they even helped me when our car was stuck in the snow! Despite the poor sound-proofing, we would definitely stay at the highly sought after, Hakuba Iwatake Apartments again.

Myself and three mates from New Zealand booked accomodation with Hakuba Holidays and travelled there Feb 2023. I communicated directly with Daniel to organise the accomodation and throughout the process Daniel was easy to deal with and great at getting back to me with prompt replies to any questions. We booked one of the Hakuba Iwatake 2 bedroom apartments and the accomodation was perfect for our group of four adults. Really spacious apartment that was incredibly warm, extremely clean and with everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. The location is amazing, out the front door literally 1 min walk to the nearest chairlift and another 2 or 3 min walk to the main Iwatake skifield gondola. Daniel recommended a good hire car company in Hakuba and within a 15 minute drive from accomodation were half a dozen amazing ski resorts. Our accomodation was above a great pub - Hakuba Brew Pub that had really good pub meals and a great range of locally brewed beers. I really cant recommend this accomodation more, Daniel was awesome during our stay, quick to answer any questions and had some great local advice and tips. The day we checked out and headed to Nagano train station there were no local shuttle services available to take us from Hakuba to Nagano so Daniel picked us up with all our luggage, took us to the local Hakuba luggage transfer service and helped us get all our heavy gear shuttled to Narita airport then drove us to Nagano train station. What a champ! We will definitely be back. Thank you Dan for an amazing stay and for looking after us so...

Unforgettable Stay at Hakuba Iwatake Apartments!

Our experience at Hakuba Iwatake Apartments was absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Daniel, who went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. His hospitality, attention to detail, and local knowledge truly made a difference.

A huge shoutout to Cullen, our driver, who was not only super friendly but also extremely reliable. He made getting around effortless, whether it was to the slopes or around town. His great attitude and professionalism added so much to our trip!

The ski-in, ski-out convenience was unbeatable – waking up to breathtaking mountain views and hitting the slopes right from our doorstep was a dream come true. The apartments were modern, spacious, and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable and cozy stay.

One of the highlights of our trip was Daniel’s amazing restaurant recommendations. Every spot he suggested was a winner, from authentic local cuisine to hidden gems we never would have found on our own. It made our dining experiences just as memorable as the skiing!

We can’t recommend Hakuba Iwatake Apartments enough! If you’re looking for top-notch accommodation with outstanding service, this is the place to be. We’ll...
