What a heaven! I’ve been to countless public baths all across Japan. This one surely makes it into top 10. The choice of bath is wide, there’s a an indoor and outdoor section. You can use a mud mask, sit in a vapor room, there’s also a strong denkiburo (electric bath). The changing room offers many creams and lotions. All this for just ¥650. What a bargain! Oh and ar night you can watch...

For those who visit Kagoshima and would like to see an excellent super public bath, visit this one. It’s well appointed with many spa facilities and resting areas and lounges and restaurant. Onsen has several types of baths and also have steam room, and hot sauna. It’s really an excellent place. Plenty of parking on site. They have a hotel so you can choose to stay on the complex if you choose.

20250805(火)21:30「こころの湯」訪問。指宿温泉郷の一画にある日帰り温泉施設です。単調な泉質ですが、湯船の種類が多く、設備が充実していました。 早朝6-10時は大人550円。通常10-22時半は大人700円(休日750円)。いずれも30分前に受付〆切。支払いは現金クレカ各種電子決済に対応。 靴箱と脱衣ロッカーは無料、貴重品ロッカーは100円返却式。受付に靴箱の鍵を渡してロッカーの鍵を受け取るシステムになります。 アメニティとしてボディソープ、リンスインシャンプー、給水器の備え付けがあり。ドライヤーは有料3分20円または4分20円。ソープ類はオリジナルブランド。 浴場は屋内に白湯、ぬる湯、ジェット付き寝湯5人分、ジェット付き座湯3人分、ドライサウナ、水風呂、屋外に露天風呂2つ、壺湯2つ、スチームサウナ、寝転び湯5人分、炭酸泉、外気浴スペースに多数の寛ぎ椅子あり。 泉質は低張性中性高温泉の塩化物泉。泉温47.6℃、pH7.1。知覚的には無色透明の強塩味無臭で、お湯にトロミはほとんど感じられず、ややべた付きがありました。 館内には休み所や食事処もあって長めにゆっくり寛ぐこともできます。この手の施設としては設備の割にお安い価格設定だと思いました。

家族湯を利用しました。 基本予約制。 内湯と露天風呂があり、ドライヤー、リンスインシャンプー、ボディソープがあります。 ３畳程の休憩室にテレビ、クーラー、トイレもついていました。 温泉はさらっとした感じでしたが、塩素臭が強いのが残念でした。 共同の休憩所にはマッサージ機や、無料漫画も置いてあり、温泉後もゆっくりできそうでした。 その他特産品や、アイスクリーム、自動販売機などもあります。 【追記】 前回和風使用で、今回は洋風の方を使用しましたが、 洋風の方は机等なく、バリアフリーのようでした。子連れだと机があり、畳の和風のほうが便利だなと思いました。 何より、今回利用した檜の間は、入口の鍵が壊れているようで、帰るときに気づいてゾッとしました。 (店員さんに言いましたが、そうですか、すみませんだけでちゃんと確認してくれているのか…対応悪いです。) また、シャワーの勢いが大人でも痛いくらいの強さ(高圧洗浄くらいあるんじゃと思うくらい…)で、 小さな子どもにはとてもじゃないけど無理です。押しボタン式で調整できないので、カランを併用して出しながらなんとか使用しました。 子連れでも利用することも多いのに、ビックリです。
