Stayed two nights in this hotel and just left today. It's one of the best hotels I've stayed in Japan. Spacious room with complete amenities. Quite some staff can speak English and the gentleman managing the front desk has amazingly good English. Every staff is super nice and always ready to help. |The food here is extravagant. It's not just meal but a presentation of Japan way of fine dining. Though I personally think the courses are too much that only male adults with super big appetite can finish all the dishes. |I would thank the lady managing our meals and daily schedules who is elegant and attentive to every detail.|At the time of our takeoff from the hotel to the JR station, all the extraordinary service staff lined up and waved us good bye. Read moreEven when the establishment is fairly big, the service is very personal. The meals every day, and especially the dinner was a feast, to our palette and to our eyes. Their policy of having one lady taking care of everything needed for one room (i.e. cleaning, serving both breakfast and lunch, concierge) makes the entire experience particularly personal. Ours even cracked a few jokes with us, which I found exceptional and refreshing given the overall traditional Japanese atmosphere of the place. The road along the coast to the west is worth a visit if you have time. We went to Kaimondake park by train for a lovely view of the Kaimondake mountain. Read moreWe had the chance to stay 3 nights in the executive suite probably for wedding trips. The is a very large separate suite overlooking the Japanese garden. It has 3 rooms : a bedroom (6 tatami) with 2 western style excellent beds, à European lounge (8 tatamis) with TV, a Japanese lounge (10 tatamis) all surrounded by a tatami gallery like in the shogun houses, opening on the garden. The bathroom is a Japanese one with a very large family bath. This suite is next to the Onsen with had a beautiful stone decorated external pool. ||The service and the cooking is outstanding.
