Popular soba shop in the area, seems to be lots of locals that like coming here as well as celebrities. The menu is fairly large for a soba shop, they also have an english menu if you need it.

We ordered 2 sets, 1 was the classic soba, and the other was with more daikon. Both were super yummy. The shrimp tempura was very satisfying. The ladies who work there are very attentive and the food comes out quickly.

You have to pay at the register when you are done, it is usually packed but people eat fast so the wait shouldnt be too long. After you pay the give you a gift bag of chips. These chips are just deep fried soba noodle pieces. YUM....

An gem in Karuizawa which serves up a nice freshly made soba and udon. Long history to back up Kagimotoya and I highly recommend trying the cold soba, udon and also the hot tempura udon. Parking is plenty a stone throw away. Come and immerse yourself in the traditional soba and udon...

(reservations needed for yakiniku on weekdays.) also, i admire the owner; she managed the place alone with around 8-10 customers, serving everything quickly and being very hospitable!
