狭い道ながらも地元の方々が抜道として利用されているのか比較的交通量が多い傍らに緑に覆われた場所にひっそりと佇んでいます。 御祭神は中臣祖神の天児屋根命、住吉三神の一柱である中筒音命と誉田別命で、この地でのつながりが良くわかりません。 奈良県の天然記念物に指定されている本殿周りの原生林。枝垂れ桜の老木が雰囲気があります。三間社流造の本殿は少し老朽が目立ちますが周囲の杜に本当に整合が取れています。

近鉄志都美駅をよく通る。ロータリーに入る手前に小さなお社があって そこを通り過ぎる度 志都美には大きな神社はないのかとおもっていた。香芝から斑鳩へ向かう道すがら ファミリーレストランの所に停車した時に左に神社があることに気付いた！まだ２度目のお参りだけど 風格があり歴史もある 立派なところだ。お参りを済ませた後 また 来たいと思いました。
