Normal little station but not a lot of trains and the waiting area is open (no aircon) which is rather hard in Summer BUT there is some kind of information center about the nachi taisha which you can go into and wait, also if you have a longer waiting time there is a beautiful beach hidden behind the station!!!

I'd recommend going there to wait and sit at one of...

This was our first time to encounter an unmanned train station and realised that we were truly in a rural part of Japan. Outside was where we waited for the bus bound for the shrine, temple and waterfalls of the Nachi-san Mountains. Keep in mind that buses and trains in the area do not travel...

Nachi Station is a very small railway station with bus transfer to the Nachi waterfalls and the temple area of the temple complex Kumanonachi Taisha.

The station -a and this is the beautiful part - has direct access to the beach and you can have a very nice walk to Katsura, passing the...
