Sano International Cricket Ground - CRICJP The Sano International Cricket Ground began as the Tanuma High School ground and was officially designated Japan's first dedicated cricket venue in 2016. Since then, it has become the home of cricket in Japan, hosting major international tournaments like the Women's East Asia Pacific Trophy and the U19 World Cup Qualifier, and the headquarters of the Japan Cricket Association has been established there. The ground is now a central hub for various national and international cricket events, including men's and women's matches and youth leagues.

Key historical points: Former site: The ground was originally the Tanuma High School ground. Dedicated venue: On March 22, 2016, Sano City announced the transformation of the ground into the Sano International Cricket Ground, creating Japan's first dedicated cricket facility. It was also the location for the 2019 U19 World Cup Qualifier for the EAP Region. Surprisingly well maintained and by far the best (since there are very few to compare😀) cricket grounds in Japan. Though the place is far away from Tokyo but it is still a pleasure to play cricket here. The place has a wonderful Tea Room with a Cricket enthusiast owner. Commuting here by public transport is a...

It seems quite nice but JCA should keep inviting neighbouring countries & school, college & university teams from Cricketing nations. Hopefully someday a beautiful pavilion may be of Japanese architectural style would be built...

One of yhe finest cricket ground in japan.its a international cricket ground. Limited parking facilities available . Location is awesome.. No near by shops available.. For a convenient store atleast you have to walk for 15mins
