Ikaho's vermillion Kajika Bridge is a must-visit place in Autumn season in Gunma. This picturesque and stunning view is a perfect background for family portraits during autumn foliage.
We went up here by car and there is a free parking space near the bridge. You need to be there before 10am because many cars lined up for this parking space.
Some people chose to park on the municipal parking near Idaho stone steps starting point. But we’ve decided to go here first so it is not too crowded.
Surprisingly, there’s a lot of people before 10am but we managed to take beautiful pictures.
There is a restroom and a small coffee stall near the bridge.

365段の石段街をライトアップが包み、どこか懐かしい情緒を感じながら歩みを進めると、 伊香保神社を越えた先に―― 燃え立つ紅葉、瑞々しい緑の草木、そして朱に輝く橋が織りなす光彩。
夜の灯りに照らされ、思わず息を呑むほど美しい調和が広がっていました。
スタジオジブリ『千と千尋の神隠し』の油屋前の赤い吊り橋のモデルといわれる場所。
階段途中、露天風呂へ向かう小径沿いの湯元源泉付近の池もライトアップされ、水面に映る光が幻想的で見とれてしまいます。
石段街には射的など昭和レトロな遊びも残り、早い時間なら「勝月堂の湯乃花まんじゅう」もお土産におすすめです。

Kajika Bridge area: About 18 cars. During autumn foliage season, traffic is extremely congested. The road leading to this parking area and the streets through Ikaho Onsen can be heavily backed up—plan extra time or consider parking elsewhere.
