Ikaho Onsen Yokotekan — Hotel in Shibukawa

First off, I would like to thank Takahashi-san for his impeccable service. He went above and beyond to help us out and I won't forget his kindness. He is the epitome of おもてなし and we couldn't be more grateful. Shiba-san was also lovely, and explained all of the dishes to us at dinner as well as how to enjoy them.

The location of the hotel is great, right off the ishigaidan, and has easy access to the shrine, a gorgeous bridge, and all kinds of scenic views. The room was large enough for our small group. The room was clean and well maintained. The building is quite old, but if you're choosing a hotel with a desire for historical vibes, it is perfection. I heard that this hotel was one of the ryokan that inspired Spirited Away (there are a few), and it really feels like stepping into a Ghibli movie.

The kaiseki dinner and traditional breakfast were delicious. Full of local flavors.

We reserved a private bath quite easily and it was very comfortable. I don't know what it was supposed to heal, but I definitely felt relaxed and happy.

staffs are very kind and friendly. all rooms are unique. they arranged vegan menue for me. its amazing and very tasty. #接客 とても良い お宿の目の前にスタッフさんがおり、スムーズに部屋まで案内して頂けた。宿に着いてから貸切温泉の予約もでき、満足できた。また、夜間にも関わらず、オセロを頼んだ際に、わざわざ私の部屋まで持ってきて頂けて、サービスも良かった。

#食事 とても良い 夕食・朝食ともに部屋でゆっくり食べられるのが良い。群馬県で採れた新鮮な野菜や、上州牛のしゃぶしゃぶなど、豪華な食事だった。量が多いわけではないのでかなり食べる人は満足出来ないかもしれない。

#部屋 とても良い 和室と洋室両方あり、洋室側には床暖房もついていた。また、ポット、ケトル、コーヒーメーカーなども整っていた。トイレにはウォシュレット昨日も付いており、便座も温められたので寒い冬でも快適に使えた。

#設備 良い 1階のラウンジのようなスペースではチェックインから夕食までの間アルコール類含む多数の飲み物が楽しめる。また、3階には図書室のような部屋があり、お子様と一緒に絵本を読んでいるお客さんもいた。大浴場は洗い場、浴槽ともにすごく広いわけではないが、ちょうど良い温度の温泉でゆったり出来た。ただ、ドライヤーが2つしか無かったので、ゆっくり入りたい方は貸切の方を予約するか、空いている時間の利用が良いと思う。

#清潔感 悪い 宿全体の清潔感はあったが、部屋の清掃がずさんだった。スタッフのものか、前の宿泊者の物かは分からないが、椅子の上に脱ぎ捨てられた靴下があったり、グラスが汚れていたり、飲みかけのコーヒーが置かれていた。また、部屋に着いているポットやケトルの水がそのままになっており、カビや汚れが気になって使えなかった。食事や温泉がとても良く、4つ星ホテルということで期待してい...
