御祭神は主祭神、稚産霊命 合祀神、天香々瀬男命・火具土命・水波乃売命・ 少彦名命 創建は天喜年間（1053年）、酒々井の地は天喜年間（1053年）に発祥した集落で、麻賀多神社はこのとき創建されたと伝わります。 戦国時代に千葉氏の信仰篤く、酒々井は政治・経済の中心地として栄え現在に当時の賑わいの面影を残します。 境内にはさわやかな風が吹き、ゆっくりできます。 神社前の１３７号線は車の往来も多いので、参拝時にはご注意ください。

樹齢の高い木が鬱蒼として、夏でも涼しい町民憩いのパワースポット。 数年前まではフクロウも目撃されていました。氏子による秋祭りが毎年１０月の第二週末にあります。 ポケモンGo！のジムになっているらしく、たまにスマホ片手に来る若者や親子連れもいます。 車の往来がわりと激しい道沿いなので、ルールを守って安全に遊んでくださいね。
