雨晴海岸、富山を代表する景勝地の真ん前にある道の駅です。 割と新しめの道の駅ではありますが、立地が海沿いギリギリで奥は山（崖）という場所という都合で建屋は南北に細長い形をしていて3F建てとなっている。 1Fはトイレ、インフォメーションセンター、2Fは展望台＆カフェ、お土産物屋さん、3Fは展望スペースになっています。あとは雨晴海岸に降りて砂まみれになった足を洗うための足洗い場があるのもイイね。あとは富山湾岸サイクリングロード上にあるので、屋根付きのバイクラックスペースあり、サイクルエイドステーションでもあります。

お土産物屋さんでは高岡の名産品（主に錫加工品）、ドラえもんグッズなどを購入できる。カフェはちゃんとカフェごはんしていて結構美味しい。週末限定ーバーガー類（鱒とお麩とあるが鱒バーガーはすぐ売り切れ気味）も美味しいよ。何より2Fのテラス席からの眺めが良すぎてサイコーです👍カフェもお土産物屋さんもカード、交通系ICカード、PayPayつかえます。

ただ、立地の都合上駐車場が超狭い。第2駐車場まではありますが2、30台でお腹いっぱい。訪れる際はGoogleMapの混雑状況を見てくるのがいいかと。雨晴海岸へは前の国道415号を渡ってJR氷見線の踏切を渡ってのアクセスになるのですが、ここの横断歩道は富山県では珍しく、本当に珍しく信号のない横断歩道で車が止まってくれる率がと...
