Hire Taxi Japan — Local services in Tokyo

On Apr 16th 2024 I contacted via google the hire taxi Japan. Kindly they shared a link to complete an online Request form for a taxi service to Narita airport at 4:30am (morning), Apr 19th 2024 . Immediately I received a confirmation number to my email. I tried to reach out them via whats app and google chat to ask them for an alternative option to contact them in case the driver did not arrive at the required time (since the whats app attention only works from 9:00am morning). The person who attended my request in Whatsapp and in the google chat commented that there was no such option and that I should wait to receive contact details from my driver 24hrs prior my service. When this period of time was reached and I received no driver’s details, I reached them again, and they behaved very rude. They said I will receive later the driver’s details and that I should not insist on asking for this information since they already receive many messages. I was just appealing to what they promised; to provide me with driver’s contact details 24hr prior the service. I wanted some assurance to be able to contact my driver. After all, the service was not cheap (from Shimokitazawa to Narita airport were 260 USD approximately. I did the payment in advance and it was possible to be reimbursed up to 24hrs prior the service, after this time reimbursement was not possible) and this company suppose to have experience on the necessities of foreigns; which in my case was to have certainty to catch my return flight home. Finally, the driver contacted me on WhatsApp (around 12hrs prior the service) and confirmed the service. At that time, I thought everything was all set up and from there everything will be smooth. However, on the day of the service at 4:00 am morning, (30min prior the time scheduled for the service) , the driver (Taro) called me on WhatsApp asking to leave earlier since he has time constraints for another service after my service. Since I had the urgency to reach the airport and it was not possible to reimburse the payment my father and I had to rush as much as possible to meet Taro at 4:09 am approximately. At 4:09am, I checked to see if there was Uber service nearby and I was able to confirm that Uber was an option for early morning trips and with a similar cost, however, the payment was already done. We all deserve certainty and politeness. I must say that this situation with “hire Japan taxi” was the only awful experience I had during my visit to Japan, because my all state in Japan was amazing, every person was always very kind and tried to help us despite they did not speak English and I have beginner...

If I could give  a 6 star rating I would!!  Our family  had the most memorable visit to Mount Fuji thanks to Daniel-san and our driver/guide. Taro-san, the most professional, knowledgeable, insightful, thoughtful guide you'll ever have the chance to meet.  We were looking forward to visiting Fuji as part of our trip to Japan and had initially reserved with another tour cie a white back. Needless to say i was a bit in a panic mode when i called Hire Taxi Japan  when the other tour operator never showed up.  Daniel-san from  Hire taxi Japan  was super understanding and immediately offered to help us find a guide for us.  He also helped me register through their website which was super simple and easy.  As he was working to find someone at the last minute to take us to Fuji, he always kept me informed of his progress which helped reassure all of us.  Within minutes, he had been able to find Taro-San, our driverguide.  30 minutes later Taro-san was  picking us up in a super clean professional vehicle We booked the 10 hour tour (through Lake Kawaguchiko).  It went by in a flash. Every stop along the way brought its own little wonderful surprise.  Taro-san was simply the best guide ever, generously sharing insights not only  about the places we visited  but also the culture and history of Japan. My kids , my wife and I loved learning about Japan through Taro-san.  He also patiently answered the barrage of questions we were firing at him.  Throughout the multiple stops, as a true gentlemen, he always made sure my wife and 2 daughters were always well taken care of.  The tour went by in a flash.  At the end, our heads were filled with amazing views , each one as  breathtaking as the other, and also great details about what we had seen. Only an expert guide like Taro-san could have brought us to these magical spots .I also want to say that everything you read about Taro san is absolutely 100% true and I am not the only one praising his service I would vouch for him and the cie  anytime. My husband and I had a most memorable tour with Taro, our guide/driver with Hire Taxi Japan. Taro spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable on the culture and history of Japan. Taro was extremely kind and polite answering our many questions and helping us navigate our way to temples and streets. He picked us up early morning at Yokahomo port upon disembarking our cruise ship in a spacious and immaculately clean vehicle. We had to be at Narita airport by 3 pm and during that he was able to fit in the top sights of Tokyo without seeming too rushed. He even took us for lunch at the Tsukiji Fish Market where we had an one of the most delicious tempura of shrimp and veggies that we have ever had. He brought us to visit Meji Shrine and Senso-ji Temple where he addressed the differences between Shintoism and Buddhism and helped us buy a Goshuincho Book stamped at the shrine and temple making it a memorable souvenir. We walked through the interesting trendy Teshita Street and crossed with the crowds and Shibuya crossing. We also saw the exterior of the Imperial Palace. As our time was drawing to an end Taro pointed out many of the interesting buildings and sights as he drove us safely to the airport.
