The service on/performance of the JR trains is perfect, 5 star. However, I disappointed with the way on how to exchange the vouchers to collect the real JR tickets. It took me a hour to verify everything and issue me with a ticket (long queue) after a long journey. Been to Japan numerous times and never had an issue until yesterday. The demeanor of one conductor (shorter height with vest and yellow armband with red trim) on the Hayabusa 16 Shinkansen was incredibly rude and hostile, with zero patience for communicating with foreign customers. I tried to clarify in Japanese and this individual refused to spare a moment to listen. I will reconsider taking the train and likely switch to domestic flights next time. The fact that the company has such huge customer traffic on their high speed rail in 2025 with poor employee communication skills and a bothered and rude demeanor like this is just lazy and pathetic.
