This hotel is a rather convenient apartment but you will need to learn your way around the place to appreciate it. I believe the access to JR Oku Station is the key benefit of this property. So to get your way around to all the key stations like Ueno, Tokyo, Shinjuku, Tsukiji, Akihabara, Shibuya and others, you will find the apartment convenient. Even going from apartment to Maihama Station to visit Tokyo Disneyland will take about slightly above an hour via the train network and if you are one familiar with Tokyo, this apartment would be good for you.The room we got was 401. Though it can sleep 6, we booked it for our family of 4. Basically, we just wanted more space. And to have 6 occupants but only one toilet to share, it can be a challenge. This apartment may not be ideal for those with big luggage as it can be a chore to drag your luggage from Oku Station to the property...even when it's just 7 mins. Here are some suggestions I hope the hotel would consider to enhance the guest's experience:• include basic beverages like coffee and tea at start (can be bottled type perhaps, just like what we experienced at other accommodations we stayed).• include a bottle (or 2 bottles for larger rooms) of drinking water at start of stay for guests.• have a system for guests to use TA-Q-Bin or Airporter to transport heavy luggage to and from apartment to airport/apartment to other properties of stay and to assure guests that the luggage for pick-up or drop-off will be handled by the apartment attendant.• as we drove to the property via a rental car, we were unsure how to input the Prism Inn Ogu location using Telephone Number as the Prism Inn Ogu Telephone Number appeared to be a mobile number and not a main line. As the car navigation system displayed all addresses in Japanese, we did not know exactly how to enter the address accurately as we were driving from Kawaguchiko...about 2 hours' drive. Though the car navigation system given to us was English version but the display of roads were all in Japanese. In the end, we got a staff at the Kawaguchiko to help us key in the address and hoped for the best. So if Prism Inn Ogu can include a MAP Code, Main Line Telephone number, it will help finding the apartment a lot easier for those arriving via rental car.I believe if the above matters are resolved, it will make our experience a lot more pleasant. For your guidance...
Read moreMy family stayed here for 8 nights for our Tokyo portion of our Japan trip. Very quiet area. The unit we had is very modern and clean. My three teenage daughters loved the loft area. Very spacious for 5 grown people. ||We had our luggage delivered to this location from Osaka and they held our luggage until we arrived. Staff very friendly. No daily housekeeping which was fine for us. A vacuum was provided so I vacuumed when needed. Brought our garbage etc to the front desk as requested when needed. Staff very approachable. ||500m walking distance to the JR station which was great and only 30mins train to Shibuya, Ginza and Akihabara. ||Several private restaurants around the area and a supermarket across the street which had several prepared meals... Also gets discounted after 5pm to clear the stock. We were there daily to get our drinks and snacks for the day. 711 very close by as well. ||We did laundry nearly daily. Thankful for this since it was so hot and humid during our entire trip. ||We used booking.com for our reservation and it helped us get a deal for a private taxi to the airport (over an hour drive) back to Canada. Taxi is known to be pricey in Japan. We were planning to do the luggage delivery to the airport and train with minimal luggage but that was going to cost more. The taxi was stress free!!||Recommend this location and if the other Prism locations are similar then I would definitely consider to stay at...
Read moreDidn't manage to take picture inside the room. But it was exactly like the picture posted on the booking application. The room wasn't big, but i booked one with 4 beds ( 1 single, 1 double, 1 sofabed), it's enough for us 4 females (with 5 luggages). Just make do with the rest space for your luggages 🤭
Compared to other "apartment" , this is considered as nice and modern. You can do laundry inside room, dry your clothes with heater inside bathroom. Clothes hanger need to be added more. There is only 1 full body mirror, which is inside bathroom 😂 No door or private room for sleeping. All beds are separated with walls. We are fine with that tho.
It's a quite and calm neighborhood. Not far from Oku Station. McD and 7eleven are within walkabale area too.
The receptionist is very friendly and helpful, she gave us many info about places too and the...
