Kojiya Hachiman-jinja (Hachimangu) — Local services in Tokyo

A very cute little shrine far off the beaten path out west of Tokyo. The people working at the shrine were surprised to see foreigners, which made for an amusing and memorable experience. The temperature here is a bi cooler than Tokyo (less heat island effect), so prepare accordingly. This shrine is known for its special goshuin, so if you want to obtain one then it’s best to get there earlier in the day!

I was so surprised by this shrine! It’s in a very quiet place, away from the hustle and bustle of the Tokyo. I went there after doing some research for my next goshuinchō (a special notebook to collect stamps and calligraphy from shrines and temples).
