25k to rent an ebike as of Sept. 35k for the dirt road bike which I wanted but quantity is limited. E-bike condition was good, I was able to return it with full battery (granted I never went beyond gear 5 because I wanted a workout). Dude at the e-bike station spoke great English and provided nice support. You have to pay at the visitor centre and then go back to the stand to start your rental journey. 45-50 mins uphill to the lake and then 25 mins flying all the way down. The incline is no joke, everyone on a manual bike was pushing theirs up. Therefore yes, the rental is expensive in context of Kazakhstan, but well worth it if you value your time. Gets cold up there and also when you’re against the wind...

To visit the Big Almaty lake this is the correct startpoint for the hike. Before you enter the national park you drive through Ekopost and there you have to pay an entrance fee: 1179.60 tenge. You can pay by card. We came into the park with YandexGo. You can also get to the Ekopost with bus number 28. When you are at the visitor center you can rent electronic bikes. The prices you see on the picture. With the bike it takes you 45 min to the lake. We hiked all the way up. The duration is normally 2,5 hours. For the hole hiking trip it took us 6-7 hours. You can easily go trough the police checkpoint. For us the best way to visit The Big Almaty lake. It is worthwhile the time and hike. Definitely...

DONT EVER try to rent a bike here. it was the worst choice in my trip to kazahstan. definitely high cost low quality.

after riding it for 15mins, the battery suddenly dropped to half, and after another 10mins it was totally unable to use the electricity on the up hill, keep turning off and making sounds.

I had to stand up on the road for a long time to ask other locals for help to call the operator and the answer was "bring it back to start point".

I had to use all my efforts to drag the heavy UNWORKING bicycle. I was able to get a refund of this poor service but lost my chance to visit lake and my effort, time and money I spent...
