Our father and grandfather Genadiy Kudrjavtsev was sent to Bausk hospital to be taken care of for a 13 day period, because of a difficult family situation while that particular time period. His wife Irena was dying from cancer and she passed away while Genadiy was in Bausk hospital. All his relatives live abroad, because of that there was noone who could have looked after him. At the time when he was admitted to Bausk hospital, Genadiy was fully able to eat, go to the bathroom on his own, was reasonably active but had a medium stage of dementia. After 13 day long stay at the Bausk hospital, Genadiy was released from the facility in a state of literally looking like a deadman/ zombie. Which is absurd. Instead he needed an ambulance as soon as possible. His two daughters and two grandkids, who live in Denmark and Norway, visited him next day after his release from Bausk and were in a state of a shock. Witnessing Genadiy laying in bed with a clear signs of comprehension difficulties or rather complete lack of comprehension at all, barely breathing, not being able to speak, having lost lots of weight, looking like he was abused rather than looked after or taken care of. Genadiy was not able to drink through a bottle and looked completely dehydrated. He wasn't administered a salt drip or given any breathing aid. 4 days later he was pronounced dead. We can only guess but in the period of those 13 days he spent in Bausk hospital, we suspect a horrific and inhumane rehabilitation of an old Russian pensionist, a person who gave most of his best years of his life, to help rebuild and develope and grow "post-war" Latvia! Did he deserve such an inhumane treatment from Bausk hospital!? His late doctor at Bausk hospital, Juris Landorfs could not answer to us with any logic or reason about their treatment plan for Genadiy and towards the end of our phone conversation with him, he disrespectfuly shifted from speaking in Russian to continue answering to us in Latvian, knowing well that Genadiys relatives don't live in Latvia and not being able to understand Latvian language, doing so, completely unnecessary discriminating the hurting family who suffered loss of their father/grandfather just a day later. We offered to speak English instead but Juris couldn't speak English and wouldn't continue speaking Russian out of his ego, shortly after abruptly ending the conversation without even saying goodbye. We sent a request to chief doctor to explain history of treatment for Genadiy Kudrjavtsev in Bausk hospital. We haven't gotten a response yet and we suspect that we probably never will. Our experience with Bausk hospital and their employees was abysmal, we were met with discrimination, disrespect and no understanding for the painful situation we found ourselves in. Possibly abuse and/or lack of care for their patient for which they were very eager to bill us. You should stay away from Bausk hospital at all cost if you value yourself or the person who is planning on staying in this facility! Relatives...

gada 11. augustā biju pierakstīts pie traumatologa-ortopēda Vladimira Kraveca Bauskas 1. slimnīcā. Diemžēl šis bija viens no nepatīkamākajiem medicīnas apmeklējumiem manā dzīvē.
Pēc ierašanās reģistratūrā stundu gaidīju savu kārtu. Kad beidzot iegāju ārsta kabinetā, ārsts, vēl pirms izskatīja manu problēmu, sāka izteikt pārmetumus par to, ka esmu ieradies no Rīgas, un jautāja, kādēļ es vispār esmu atbraucis uz Bausku. Sarunas gaitā ārsts atteicās sniegt man jebkādu palīdzību, paziņojot, lai dodos uz Rīgu risināt savas veselības problēmas, jo viņš nevēlas tikt “noslogots” ar pacientiem no citām pilsētām.
Man netika veikta apskate vai piedāvāts jebkāds risinājums manai medicīniskajai situācijai.
