Departure area is new modern really nice, except they need more seats at check in floor, ground floor, because they open 4 check in at same time 5.30pm, four or five flights, and not enough, before check in time people can't sit. The arrivals building is really bad,old etc, they need to do a new one quickly. Take ten years do something here, we are in 2025, politicians 🙈. I have a problem with a employee in first floor just before enter the scaners, the qr boarding pass machines. Monday 17 March I went for first time to buy a ticket at Turkish airline Office. First time in this airport, while I were waiting the arline office to open I go upstairs and try to ask something to the employee at the video photo, he automathicly said no boarding pass go to check in. So I return a few minutes after that to say him be more respectull not so rude with tourist who came from Argentina to spend money and to visit your country. He must ask what can I do for You,how can I help You, not all people at airport speak good English, that guy yes it seems. He said go to information desk, the what do you want? I have lot of work to do. The airport migration area was still empty because it was 1.30pm. I just wana know where I can eat something like lunch because I don't know yet that airport, after one hour walking I realise that they have places for eat in arrival building. The problem is that guy like a machine was rude. Be polite, people from south america are educated, so if it's an international airport like they say start being polite with tourist, not only with latvian estonian rusian and Lithuanian, because seems to be a regional airport. I wrote a mail in a website the lady at Information desk give me because I would like to speak with a supervisor about that guy. When I were asking for that another employee at 2pm at Information desk,no idea what he did, maybe flirting with the two ladies working, said me You can't take photos is not allow, o said i'll put the other guy at google. So that second guy instead of shut up, said that, the only thing make the employees talk in English is when they realise they are gona apear my feedback. They must be polite allways. They don't want and like to talk with tourist for help, then they talk all together and laught a lot, but when you need help or don't want you to give feedback they speak really good English. So at 18 th March I did check in with my new ticket, at 5.40pm, I saw a guy in the first floor talking by phone, so monday 17 14pm at information desk going for flirt that two ladies working, that employee make me upsated, when they know that You are gona feedback they sacared because most of the time don't care about people using phone at migration area pre scaners area first floor. Check the security cams and you ll see. The two ladies working at front desk really polite, but that two employees two guys no. Lot of people who work in this airport have no experience and low profile people. Like they want to give a nice impresión. Those airport employees fit with the old arrival building but not with a modern...

I had a bad experience with poor customer service at the security check.

I am a professional photographer travelling for a job with film photography from London to Vilnius, then Barcelona and London again. As I was travelling with 1600 ISO film and I had/might have to pass several X-Rays. I politely asked the worker in the X-Ray if I could have a hand-check, which takes less than 2 minutes to do instead of passing the film through the X-Ray.

The security officer was nervous and annoyed when I asked him and spoke to me in a very rude and condescending manner. The worst thing besides that he has risked a commercial job is that he did not know what a Hand-Check.

I was surprised so I asked him if he could call his Manager, I was wrongly expecting his superior to be more trained but I was mistaken. The person in charge did not speak a word of English and spoke to me loudly in Lithuanian looking at me horribly, bordering on xenophobia. It looks more like a pub at 3am than an European International Airport. I tried to explain to him that if a film of 1600 ISO goes through X-Ray more than once it will be ruined. He got offended that I insisted on him and spoke to me even more rudely. I felt if this was happening in the street they would punch me in the face. When I asked them for an email address to write a complaint and firstly they ignored me, after several minutes they told me to go to the website and refused to provide me their names.

I am very surprised that Security officers in Vilnius International Airport do not know what a hand-check procedure is, then do not speak English or do not want to speak in English with a customer that is requesting something related with their job and lastly, they have no training in customer service.

I am aware that travelling with film for a job can be complicated but the way I was treated was beyond and that is why I am writing this complaint.

It felt I was travelling on time to The Soviet Union instead of being in 2023...

I recently visited Restaurant MANAMI at Vilnius Airport during a layover, and it was an extremely disappointing experience. After placing my order through a QR code, I waited, only to find that it was self-service—a fact that wasn’t communicated in advance. When I picked up only part of my order, I was told the remaining sushi would take 20 more minutes, which later increased to 40 minutes, with all refund requests denied. Adding to the frustration, the staff was unhelpful and even dismissive. The staff handled the situation unprofessionally - insisting I accept a lower quality replacement from their refrigerated stock. When I declined due to dietary preferences, server questioned my choices in confrontational manner. Meanwhile, my order number kept flashing on the screen, giving the impression that my food was being prepared, only to disappear and reappear repeatedly, making the wait even more confusing. The same happened when after an hour of delays I refused to wait more due lack of time before the next flight I was asked about exact time of flight, because server wanted to make timing calculations by herself :D The server suggested I should contact them next time before ordering through the QR code to check on preparation times—a suggestion that contradicts the very idea of streamlined, efficient ordering. I eventually received a partial refund but was left with a rude comment from the server, which made an already poor experience feel worse. Overall, this experience was frustrating and lacked any respect for customers' time or needs. For a busy airport restaurant, the inefficiency and dismissive service were unacceptable. Food was good despite ramen was way too salty, but I would not recommend this place to...

I landed at midnight. Did not plan to rent a car. Vilnius is my first solo trip in the EU, I didn't plan well. But, ... It was very safe. I got into a bus got off near the Holiday inn, and walked to the hotel with my bags. The night was very alive and lights were lit, people were in clubs, and music was playing, Other than the weight of my bags, it was a good walk Vilnius, Lithuania; it's a very safe place to walk, any time of the day & night. I walked all around Vilnius for about 20 km, both in high & low alleys. Mostly, Vilnius is a clean city. But some areas smell bad for some reason. Women here wear good perfume. You smell it when you are walking. People here are not friendly like Americans, but if you ask, they would help. The majority of the general population doesn't speak English, some don't even know the word "NO". But hand signals can help you find your way. Transportation is at its best here and it is cheap. Food is cheap as well. You see a church on every corner of the city. Baltic people treat Amber as gold. The white Amber is a rare form; about 40 million years old; which only can be found in Baltic regions. People here dressed like, it is -10F' at 60F'. This day was around 70F, they looks like they walk into a snowstorm. Overall, in my opinion, Vilnius is not a major tourist destination; but you can get an experience of a new country, food, and its culture.
