First thing... this is NOT the Moonimaa Lounge in the Domestic Terminal - several online reviews confuse the Maamahi Executive Lounge in the VIP Terminal with the Moonimaa Lounge in the Domestic Terminal. We did not visit the Moonimaa Lounge but in speaking with other travelers in the Maldives and reading many items online, that lounge seems to be underwhelming at best. However, the Maamahi Executive Lounge in the VIP Terminal is WONDERFUL! I a LOT of reading/planning before our trip and the big knock on all of these Maldives resorts is the departure - unavoidable, long layovers in lousy lounges (save for the very few resorts that have their own lounge OR are close enough to MLE that no seaplane transfer is required) and crowded, chaotic MLE international terminal. We paid for access to the Maamahi Executive Lounge/CIP Program (arranged via Venu in advance and then confirmed by Nasse). Unless you are starving for a modern, proper, top chef made food and to chow down a few too many adult beverages, I do not think you should visit here. The lounge was Classic with Modern ambience and the seating area, while Preety enough, did seem all that should make you WOWW.
Inside, seating is divided into rows, with Ikea-quality Danish modern...
