Sun Siyam Resorts Airport Lounge — Local services in Malé

I wouldn't rate them a 5 star hotel. We stayed in Deluxe Beach Villa with pool and the water villa. The rooms were spacious, the AC was good. But almost all the taps were leaking. Also we had taken all inclusive package which came with a butler which I think is a farce. Oh come on, the guy wouldn't even get the snorkeling gear from the diving centre. I don't understand what's the butler for. Also the all inclusive dinner package for the kids is again a serious let down. We never knew that all restaurants will have a seperate kids menu. And the kids menu had only fish fingers and chicken nuggets as standard. But we don't have a choice other than taking the all inclusive package because the food seems to be very expensive. Terrible experience. After travelling for 15 hours, no direct communication regarding how long you have to wait for. They just directed us to the lounge and we waited for 2.5 hours before having to ask someone to give us an update for our sea transfer and all we got was attitude back saying the wait time is on the website (which it isn’t). The lounge is very comfortable and has an amazing view of the turquoise waters. You are provided with complimentary food and drinks, as well as bathrooms with showers in case you would like to refresh yourself and to top it off they give you a very nice massage to relieve the tension after the long flights. The staff is great, very friendly and helpful. The seaplane transfer to the island is mesmerizing, the views are incredible and the entire process is seamless. Most definitely will come back...
