Ta Qali Petting Farm — Local services in Attard

This petting farm was upsetting to visit. The rabbits were kept in a shaded dark area in small, dirty cages with no padding for there feet or any enrichment items. Some of the rabbits were in bad condition with matted fur and lumps on their sides.

The larger animals are kept in small concrete pens with shredded paper for bedding. Llamas and horse should never be kept alone- it is bad for their well-being.

This place should be larger to house the number of animals and should also offer a donation box to increase the support and welfare provided to the animals, I would pay entry to make sure I was visiting happy animals.

Lots of housed birds, again too many birds in one cage, not enough light. Some of the smaller birds had bald patches and were actively plucking their feathers, a sign of distress.

I really hope something is done to change the welfare of the animals at this petting farm, as I felt unsettled knowing they were not receiving enough space, comfort and enrichment for...

This is a new low how humans treat animals.

Hungry and thirsty rabbits kept in cages! Hurting their feet. No straw or hay to nibble on.

The horse and the pony are kept alone without any decent possibility for activity iaw their species. No straw. No hay. The same applies to the donkey.

The birds are without any sand pit, which they need for cleaning themselves or their nutrition. Three peacocks living on about 20sqm.

In the end none of the animals is living a life with the needs satisfied to their individual species needs.

This place, even clean and tidy, is a shame! It is simply disgusting.

You charge fees for almost anything in your country, why not charge a small amount of money to every visitor of this installation to make sure enough money is available to meet all the needs of the animals on display. Every visitor and especially the animals would more than...

The Ta Qali Petting Farm is located in the southern part of the Ta’ Qali Park. This Farm offers a unique encounter for children with different farm animals such as pygmy goats, pigs, a horse, a lama, a donkey, rabbits and many birds. It also has a recreational space for all the Family. Animal feed is available from feeding machines close to the paddocks, thus children can interact easily with their favourite animals by feeding them. The latest addition in the Petting farm is the featured fish pond holding Koi fish. This has been meticulously designed and built to resemble a natural waterfall and enhanced with a bridge for anyone to enjoy crossing over the water features. The Ta Qali Petting Farm also has a parking space next it.
